Character Overview

Haruna (Track) is a Permanent 3* Sonic Special student who will be having a rate-up banner in the upcoming event "Get Set, Go! Kivotos Halo Games", alongside two returning limited students Yuuka (Track) and Mari (Track). On release, T.Haruna struggled to find any relevant usage in raids. This is mainly due to the low healing on EX Skill and values on her Basic Skill.

Strengths

  • Low cost reposition

Weaknesses

  • Better alternatives for both healers and repositioners
  • Mediocre healing
  • Not farmable

Skill Review

EX Skill

First off, we have T.Haruna’s EX Skill, which allows you to move 4 allies to a selected location within a circular area and restores their HP. If you are familiar with Fuuka’s EX Skill, then this should look familiar as it is a one-to-one copy.

The only difference is its cost and the healing value. An overall underwhelming skill that you will most likely not find a lot of usage for in high-difficulty raids (INS+). In most raids where repositioning is relevant (ShiroKuro and Goz). There is a Recovery Down debuff applied to all students, invalidating half of this skill’s effects.

Basic Skill

Next, we have T.Haruna’s Basic Skill, which applies a DEF reduction to 6 enemies. On paper, this skill is a great skill, but both its duration and DEF reduction values are too low to make her a top choice in INS+. If you plan to bring T.Haruna in high DEF raids, you should prioritize skill after sub-skill.

Enchanced Skill

Similar to most Enhanced Skills, this provides a boost to T.Haruna’s stats. This increases her Healing stat by a respectable amount at both base and Enhanced+. Due to T.Haruna’s low multipliers on EX Skill, this can help with her mediocre healing numbers. We recommend prioritizing this skill last, as it does not help with the team's damage output.

Sub Skill

Lastly, T.Haruna’s Sub Skill increases the entire team's ATK. Like most other ATK Subs, this is a welcome addition to help with the team’s damage output. Prioritize raising this skill first, as the ATK buff is always active.

Gameplay Progression

Early game: In the early game, T.Haruna struggles to find usage, as there are several low-rarity alternatives for a Healer such as Serina. Additionally, repositioning and DEF debuffs are not required to clear most stages early on.

Early game alternatives:

Students listed here are only some of the notable options available.

Late game (High Investment): In the late game, T.Haruna can see some usage in raids, but is usually never your first choice. The first and most common use case is in both ShiroKuro and Goz, mainly for her EX Skill’s cheap Repositioning skill. Note that in both these raids, her already mediocre healing is further reduced due to the Recovery Boost debuff applied. Lastly, in theory, she can find usage in Binah as a DEF debuffer, but once again falls short due to its low multiplier and uptime.

Note that she will have an additional use case in a future raid Kurokage as a AoE DEF debuffer, but once again falls short when compared to other alternatives such as S.Hanako.

  • Minimum Required Investment: 3*
  • Skill Leveling Priority: Sub > Basic > Enhanced

Conclusion

Overall, T.Haruna is an underwhelming student who struggles to find any relevant usage in raids. Even looking at the lower rarity alternatives, she can be compared to Fuuka. The main difference is that she is a 3* that cannot be farmed to Unique Equipment 50, while Fuuka has Elephs available in the shop. However, if you ever find yourself in a situation where you need an extra cheap reposition, then T.Haruna can be a good substitute,

How Much Should I Invest?: 3* This is usually a good stopping point as grabbing her UE40 will not boost healing by much.

Character Overview

Hasumi (Track) is a Welfare 1* Mystic Striker student who will be given for free during the upcoming event "Get Set, Go! Kivotos Halo Games" alongside a new student Haruna (Track), and two returning limited students Yuuka (Track) and Mari (Track). During her release in Global, she was a staple option as a damage dealer in Goz for her high damage output and great synergy with hyper-carry buffers. While she may no longer see as much usage, she is still a strong Single Target damage dealer who will help carry newer players in harder content.

Strengths

  • Given for free at Unique Equipment 50
  • High Single-Target damage

Weaknesses

  • Crit Reliant

Skill Review

EX Skill

Starting things off, we have T.Hasumi’s EX Skill, which deals damage to 1 enemy. This skill can consume an additional 2 costs to increase its damage by 30% for each skill point used. Note that the damage increase is calculated with its base cost.

In most cases, you will always want to use this skill with its increased cost of 5, as it brings its multiplier up from 859% to 1,375%. However, there are a few cases where you can consider using this skill at a lower cost. The most common is if the boss is almost defeated or the timer is running out

You can also bring T.Hasumi as a filler DPS by using her EX Skill at 3 cost. Note that this can be somewhat difficult to fit into a rotation since you cannot lower the amount of skill points used.

Basic Skill

Nothing special about T.Hasumi’s Basic Skill, it deals damage to one enemy every 25s. The choice whether to raise this skill or Sub Skill is completely up to you.

Enchanced Skill

T.Hasumi’s Enhanced Skill increases her Crit DMG and Crit, which helps with consistency and dishing out more damage. Since she will be given out for free at UE50 it is expected that this skill should be at Enhanced+. We recommend raising this skill first, as it affects her Basic and EX Skill damage.

Sub Skill

Lastly, T.Hasumi’s Sub Skill deals an additional instance of damage when attacking Large-sized enemies. In most cases, the trigger condition on this skill should not matter as both ShiroKuro and Goz are Large-sized enemies. The only time this condition becomes relevant is in general content or Perorodzilla. The choice of whether to raise this skill or Basic Skill is up to you.

Gameplay Progression

Early game: In the early game, T.Hasumi can find usage as a boss killer for Mystic content; since she will be given at Unique Equipment 50, most players will have her as their strongest Mystic damage dealer. Do note that going up against strong bosses in the early game is uncommon since it is centered around AoE

Early game alternatives:

Students listed here are only some of the notable options available.

Late game (High Investment): In raids, she can find usage in all 3 Mystic raids currently released. In the past, she was the go-to option for Goz due to a combination of insane damage multipliers and a good armor matchup. While the same is still true for ShiroKuro, there are usually better alternatives catered towards that raid. As for Perorodzilla, she is most commonly slotted into the team to deal with the Shiny Perorominions. Note that without any shields, she will not survive the transition laser.

  • Minimum Required Investment: Unique Equipment 50
  • Skill Leveling Priority: Enhanced > Basic = Sub

Conclusion

Overall, T.Hasumi is a strong addition to any player’s roster. If they need a Mystic Single Target damage dealer. She will be given out at max rarity for free, making her accessible to even newer players who want to tackle Insane Raids. However, she does come with some slight issues, the most common of which is her necessity to land Crits on EX Skill. While this issue is not unique to T.Hasumi, not Critting usually means resetting a raid attempt if you are aiming for a high score.

Additionally, since her release, there have been newer and stronger Mystic damage dealers such as M.Aris. If you already have them at a high investment, it is unlikely that T.Hasumi will be your first choice for some raids.

How Much Should I Invest?: Since she will be given out for free at Unique Equipment 50 there is no need to invest Eligmas.

Following the release of the previous rerun event, we are now greeted with a new event rerun "Get Set, Go!". It features a returning welfare student Hasumi (Track), who will be given for free at Unique Equipment 50 for completing the first story stage of the event.

Unlike most events, there will be 4 event currencies available for you to farm and the return of an older minigame, Dice Race. If you plan to pull for or have students from Millennium or Trinity, you want to raise. This will be a good time to stock up on Credits, Activity Reports, and Enhancement Stones. via the Dice Race.

Currency Drops per Stage
Bolded text is the best stage to farm the currency

  • Relay Baton: Stage 5, Stage 9
  • Red Bean Bun: Stage 6, Stage 10
  • Information Pamphlet: Stage 7, Stage 11
  • Sports Drink: Stage 8, Stage 12

Something else to consider for when farming are the Artifacts that are dropped in these stages. Feel free to prioritize them if you really need the drops to raise your student’s skills.

Artifact Drops per stage
Note that higher difficulty stages have better drops.

  • Nimrod Lens: Stage 1, Stage 5, Stage 9
  • Haniwa: Stage 2, Stage 6, Stage 10
  • Voynich Manuscript: Stage 3, Stage 7, Stage 11
  • Phaistos Disc: Stage 4, Stage 8, Stage 12

Shops, and Milestones

Relay Baton

First off, we have the Relay Baton shop, which contains Hasumi Elephs, Activity Reports, and Tech Notes. As usual, grab all Tech Notes first, the choice of whether to take Millennium or Trinity first mostly depends on which students you plan to raise. For newer players, you may also want to consider grabbing the Activity Reports. Hasumi Elephs can mostly be ignored, as nowadays, borrowing a Mika is enough to clear Piercing Raids up to Insane difficulty.

Red Bean Bun

Moving on to the next Event Currency, we have Anpan. This shop is similar to the previous shop but has Enhancement Stones and Blu-rays instead. Prioritize grabbing the Blu-rays since you will need quite a bit of them to raise students' skills to the max. As for the Enhancement Stones, you can skip these since you can always buy them from the normal shop. Yuuka Elephs isn't a bad investment, as she can find usage in several raids. However, she is farmable and a low-rarity student, so you are bound to get her Elephs from pulling gacha or farming Hard Stages.

Characters with Events bonuses:

10% Drop Up

Information Pamphlet

Next, we have the Information Pamphlet shop, which consists of Gifts and Artifacts. The highest priority items here should be the Artifacts since you will need to raise students’ skills. If you pulled for either T.Yuuka or T.Mari then we highly recommend prioritizing their respective Artifacts to help raise their skills. Next, you can go for Haruna Elephs if you want to speed up the process of getting her to UE50. As for the Gifts, grab them if you want them. Otherwise, we recommend spending the AP elsewhere.

Sports Drink

Lastly, the final event currency Sports Drink is used to roll a dice in the Dice Race minigame. Unlike the original run of this event, T.Hasumi fragments have been removed to be replaced with item boxes, which provide you with Equipment Blueprints. Additionally, Dice Rolls now costs 500 Sports Drinks instead of 150, which may make it difficult to complete the full 20 laps needed for the extra rewards. If you do not want to farm this event, we recommend at least doing 10 laps to obtain the Secret Tech Note.

Character Overview

Kotori (Cheer Squad) is a Permanent 3* Explosive Striker student, who will be having a rate-up banner in the upcoming event "On Your Mark Millennium". Alongside two returning students, Utaha (Cheer Squad) and Noa. C.Kotori is quite an oddball as the damage multiplier on her EX Skill is relatively low but covers a large area at a low cost. This makes her a perfect fit in content that has a large swarm of enemies, such as Chesed or Commissions. Unfortunately, these are both Heavy armored content and there are currently no Explosive raids that she specializes in, making it difficult for C.Kotori to find usage.

If you are reading this on her upcoming rerun banner, you might be wondering whether she is worth pulling. Currently, both JP and Global Kotori (Cheer Squad) have no raids that she specializes in, making it a safe skip if you are running low on Pyroxenes.

Strengths

  • Large AoE on EX Skill
  • Low cost
  • Can buff the team’s Crit

Weaknesses

  • No niches to fill

Skill Review

EX Skill

First off, we have C.Kotori’s EX Skill, which deals damage to enemies in a fan-shaped AoE that knockbacks enemies. A relatively underwhelming EX Skill as its damage multiplier struggles to keep up with other AoE damage dealers. Its low cost and wide range it covers does make up for it if you are going up against a swarm of enemies.

Basic Skill

Moving onto C.Kotori’s Basic Skill, provides the entire team with a Crit buff when 5 EX Skills are used by any ally except herself. An overall decent effect which helps with the team’s consistency. The main issue is with its activation requirement requiring 5 EX Skills, and Crit buffs do not directly increase the team's damage. In addition to this, C.Kotori does not receive her own Crit buff making it a dead skill.

Enchanced Skill

A standard Enhanced Skill, which increases her ATK stat and Accuracy Enhanced+. While the ATK buff is a welcome boost to her stats, Accuracy is mostly a dead stat in most content outside of PvP.

Sub Skill

Lastly, C.Kotori’s Sub Skill increases her ATK when her Basic Skill buffs an ally’s Crit for 30 seconds. This skill can effectively be treated as a secondary effect whenever the Basic Skill is activated. In theory, with its 30-second duration, this skill can have 5 stacks and a 100% uptime if your rotation includes several low-cost skills. (Note: Needs more testing to see how valuable and realistic having 5 stacks and 100% uptime will be.)

Gameplay Progression

Early game: In the early game, C.Kotori can fill the role of an AoE damage dealer in general content. Note that she may struggle to defeat enemies with 1 EX Skill, as her skill multipliers are relatively low. In addition to this, several other AoE damage dealers can fulfill her role with lesser investment such as Akari.

Early game alternatives:

Students listed here are only some of the notable options available.

Late game (High Investment): Unfortunately, there are currently no raids that cater to C.Kotori’s niche. However, if Chesed Grand Assault ever goes into rotation or a new Explosive swarm-centric raid is released, C.Kotori will most likely find usage or even excel in those raids.

  • Minimum Required Investment: Unique Equipment 30 or 50
  • Skill Leveling Priority: Enhanced > Sub > Basic

Conclusion

Overall, C.Kotori is in a somewhat in unique position as she tries to cater to a niche that currently does not exist. In theory, she could be a top pick for Explosive swarm content/raids if they ever release one or Chesed ever comes into rotation for Grand Battle.

How Much Should I Invest?: If you insist on using C.Kotori then Unique Equipment 50 can be considered to help with damage output on her preferred terrain.

Following the previous event, we are introduced to a rerun event “On Your Mark @ Millennium ~ Kivotos Halo Festival”. This event features 1 new character Kotori (Cheer Sqauad), and a returning welfare student Hibiki (Cheer Squad), who will be added to the permanent pool of students once their banner ends.

This event will only have a runtime of 1 week, which may make it difficult for everyone to clear out the shops. There will also be a returning welfare student C.Hibiki, who can be farmed via the Stadium. Lastly, this event also features a new minigame similar to lessons, which can be a good time to stock up on certain artifacts if you are running low.

Currency Drops per Stage:
Bolded text is the best stage to farm the currency

  • Bean Bag: Stage 1, Stage 5, Stage 9
  • Millennium Flag: Stage 2, Stage 6, Stage 10
  • Whistle: Stage 3, Stage 7, Stage 11
  • Event Points: Stage 4, Stage 8, Stage 12

Shops and Stadium

Bean Bag

For our first event currency, we have a Bean Bag, which is your standard event shop that contains Activity Reports, Tech Notes, and Furniture. We recommend prioritizing the Tech Notes as these are used to raise your student’s skill levels. If you are a newer player, then you can instead prioritize Activity Reports if you need the levels to raise your students. Utaha Elephs are also available in this shop, which can be a high-value target if you want to save your PvP coins.

Characters with Events bonuses:

Millennium Flag

The next event currency is Millennium’s Flag, which is similar to the previous shop but instead now has Enhancement Stones and Blu-rays. Once again prioritize school-specific mats like Blu-rays as you will need them to raise your student's skills. Feel free to skip the Enhancement Stones, as you can always buy these daily from the regular shop. As for the Kotori Elephs, you can safely skip these if you already have a well-built shielder/repositioner.

Characters with Events bonuses:

Whistle

Lastly, this shop contains Artifacts namely, Haniwa and Wolfseggs. We highly recommend clearing out both Artifacts to stock up on skill materials, prioritizing the one you need the most. As for the Chihiro Elephs, it is fine to skip these if you do not have her unlocked or don't need a high-rarity Chihiro. Feel free to grab Furniture if you want them otherwise, we recommend focusing on Event Points.

Characters with Events bonuses

Event Points and Stadium

This event has a currency called Event Point Rewards that can be used to visit the Stadium. Visiting the Stadium costs 500 Event Points and is limited to 5 times per cycle before the students in the area will be switched. This minigame is similar to Lesson, making it a decent way to earn Elephs and Bond. There are also additional rewards that can be obtained depending on the area level such as Artifacts.

In total there are 8 areas that can be unlocked after reaching a specific rank. Refer to the list below for the amount of points required to rank up.

  • Total: 14000 Event Points
  • Rank 1: 500 Event Points (Default Administrative Office)
  • Rank 2: 1000 Event Points (Unlock Running Track)
  • Rank 3: 1500 Event Points (Unlock Gym Warehouse)
  • Rank 4: 2000 Event Points (Unlock Audience seats)
  • Rank 5: 2500 Event Points (Unlock Sports Ground)
  • Rank 6: 3000 Event Points (Unlock Large Warehouse)
  • Rank 7: 3500 Event Points (Unlock Broadcasting Room)

20% Drop Up

Milestone Rewards

There will also be Milestone rewards depending on the amount of Events Points you have accumulated throughout the event.

Following the swimsuit rerun banners, we are introduced to a new event “Academy Club Story ~A Pair's Final Adventure~”. This event features 2 new characters, Meru and Momiji. These students will be added to the permanent pool of students once their banner ends.

Similar to the In Search of Hidden Ruins, this event will have a runtime of 2 weeks giving everyone enough time to clear out the shop. This event will also see the return of an old mini-game Card Draws.

If you are wondering whether or not this event is worth farming, that would highly depend on the current state of your account. For newer players that lack resources or have Red Winter students they wish to raise, then yes, this event provides good value. However, if you do not have Red Winter students to raise, feel free to only grab the items you need such as Activity Reports then focus on Card Draws to farm Eligmas.

Currency Drops per Stage:
Bolded text is the best stage to farm the currency

  • All Drops: Stage 1, Stage 5, Stage 9
  • Tarot Dela Luna: Stage 2, Stage 6, Stage 10
  • Ink Cartridge: Stage 3, Stage 7, Stage 11
  • Tablet Pen: Stage 4, Stage 8, Stage 12

Something else to consider for when farming are the Artifacts that are dropped in these stages. Feel free to prioritize them if you really need the drops to raise your student’s skills.

Artifact Drops per stage
Note that higher difficulty stages have better drops.

  • Wolfsegg: Stage 1, Stage 5, Stage 9
  • Aether: Stage 2, Stage 6, Stage 10
  • Nebra Sky Disk: Stage 3, Stage 7, Stage 11
  • Haniwa: Stage 4, Stage 8, Stage 12

Shops, Gacha Box, and Omikuji

Tarot Dela Luna

For our first currency, we have Tarot Della Luna. This currency will be used to draw cards in the Card Draw shop. Cards for this shop will be separated into 4 different rarities, each providing different items. The main items to look out for are the Eligma provided for drawing an SSR card, Nimrod Lens, and Mandrake artifacts.

Note that there is a 3rd shop that requires Petit Only Tickets as the currency. This currency can only be obtained from the Card Draw. Items to look out for here are the Pyroxenes, Eligmas, and Secret Tech Notes.

There are generally 3 ways to go about drawing cards, the first being to only draw one card and then reset, which can be overall cheaper since it does not increase the cost for the next draw. The second is to open all 4 cards for the chance of getting more than 1 SR or SSR. Lastly, only open cards up until you get an SR or SSR. At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter which method you choose since all methods have their downsides, and it is all dependent on RNG.

Characters with Events bonuses:

Ink Cartridge

Next, we have the Ink Cartridge. This is your standard shop which includes, Activity Reports, Blu-Rays. and Artifacts. We recommend prioritizing school-specific materials such as Blu-Rays if you have Red Winter students you need to raise. Otherwise, you can prioritize the Artifacts to stock up. If you are a newer player, try grabbing Activity Reports as you will need them to level your students.

Characters with Events bonuses:

Tablet Pen

Similar to the previous shop, prioritize grabbing school-specific materials if you have Red Winter students to raise. Otherwise, try securing Superior and Advanced rarities at the very least, as they can be hard to come by. Secure the Artifacts if you need them or want to stock up. You can consider skipping Enhancement Stones entirely, as they can be bought from the daily shop.

Character Overview

Momiji is a 2* Sonic Striker student who will be having a rate-up banner during the upcoming event " Academy Club Story ~A Pair's Final Adventure~" alongside other returning students Meru, Cherino, and Marina. She will be the first 2* Sonic student available from banners going forward. For most players, she will be one of the few options available for Sonic AoE. As a damage dealer, she is generally never your first pick in AoE content, as her multipliers on EX Skill are low.

Strengths

  • High DPS (Damage Per Screenshot)
  • Low rarity Sonic student

Weaknesses

  • Overshadowed by better alternatives

Skill Review

EX Skill

For our first skill, we have Momiji’s EX Skill, which deals damage to enemies caught in a circular AoE. A fairly straightforward skill with a somewhat low damage multiplier, this isn't too much of an issue as her ATK stat is one of the highest in the game. Note that AoE increases when you have raised the Sub Skill

Basic Skill

Next, we have Momiji’s EX Skill which increases her ATK every 30s for 20s. While this skill does provide a decent ATK buff. You can consider prioritizing her other skills first as this skill does not have 100% uptime.

Enchanced Skill

Once again, it provides a boost to her already bloated ATK stat but also increases Crit, helping her consistency.

Sub Skill

As you would guess, similar to her other skills, this provides another boost to her ATK. It also has the additional effect of increasing the AoE of her EX Skill, allowing you to cover a larger area. We highly recommend raising this skill first, as the additional AoE on the EX Skill can come in handy.

Gameplay Progression

Early game: Due to her unique Damage Type Sonic, she can be brought into the team as a substitute damage dealer in Special and Explosive armored content. Later down the line, there will also be Elastic armored stages where she can find usage.

Early game alternatives:

For non-Sonic stages, we recommend using an AoE damage dealer of the specific type

Sonic AoE:

Students listed here are only some of the notable options available.

Late game (High Investment): Currently, in Global, Momiji does not have a raid to cater to her Damage Type. If you are desperate and need an AoE damage dealer for Perorodzilla or Goz, then she can be a decent option. However, with the release of Kurokage in JP she finally has a place to take advantage of her niche. Note that while she can deal a large burst of damage, she is generally overshadowed by the upcoming students, such as Yukari or the previous FES S.Hanako in terms of overall damage.

  • Minimum Required Investment: Unique Equipment 30
  • Skill Leveling Priority: Sub = Enhanced = Basic

Conclusion

Overall, Momiji is a solid 2* Sonic damage dealer that most players will eventually get to a high rarity. She is an accessible option if you need a damage dealer in off-color general content if you have no alternatives. If you have the alternatives available Momiji will usually not find

How Much Should I Invest?: Unique Equipment 30, this is usually a good stopping point to unlock the additional stats.

  • Anti-Synergy with Crit Supports

Skill Review

EX Skill

Starting this off, we have the highlight of Meru’s kit. This deals damage to 1 enemy and applies a Burn DoT and Weakness Detection. While the DoT effect is nothing to write home about, Weakness Detection is a strong debuff that deals an additional instance of damage every time an ally attacks.

At first glance, this skill is similar to Miyu’s EX Skill but the core difference is Meru’s EX Skill lasts for 30 seconds and can be triggered up to 480 times. This gives her more time to stack up damage. Note that only the initial hit of this skill can Crit, both the Burn and Weakness Detection cannot Crit.

Basic Skill

Moving on to Meru’s Basic Skill, it deals damage to 1 enemy and applies a DoT (Burn). Overall a relatively niche skill that can be used in some JFD stages. Note that the majority of the damage from this skill comes from the DoT, which cannot Crit.

Enchanced Skill

A straightforward but welcome increase to Meru’s ATK stat, this has more value on her as EX Skill is unable to Crit.

Sub Skill

Lastly, Meru’s Sub Skill allows her to deal more damage on the 3rd Auto Attack. This skill deals a respectable amount of damage while having a decent uptime. We recommend raising this skill after Enhanced as it does not improve her EX Skill.

Gameplay Progression

Early game: Unfortunately, Meru does not find a lot of usage in the early game, as she is a Single-Target damage dealer. In addition to this, most of her damage is backloaded and requires your team to focus on the enemy she targets.

Early game alternatives:

Students listed here are only some of the notable options available.

Late game (High Investment): For the late game, Meru mainly finds usage in the upcoming raid Wakamo (Hovercraft). This raid caters to her niche as p2 requires multi-hit attacks to stack debuffs. Outside of this, Meru can be used in Heavy Armored raids if you can build a team around her.

  • Minimum Required Investment: 3* or UE40
  • Skill Leveling Priority: Enhanced > Basic = Sub

Conclusion

Overall, Meru is a strong but niche student who has managed to be one of the top choices for the upcoming raid Wakamo (Hovercraft). While she may not be the first student to have Weakness Detection, her version of this debuff is stronger and blows Miyu’s damage out of the water. It is important to keep in mind that even with her high damage output, she still requires a team built around her to proc Weakness Detection.

If you ignore the core of her kit, she will not deal any significant damage and will fall behind other damage dealers. In addition to this, if the raid is almost cleared, it may be better to bring a different damage dealer as her damage is backloaded.

How Much Should I Invest?: Unique Equipment 40, since her damage is relevant it is highly recommended to unlock UE40 for the additional ATK increase.

Following up on the previous event, we now have an event rerun “Business Trip! The Momoyodou Beach House Franchise Plan!”. This event features 2 returning Limited students S.Izuna, S.Chise, and a new student S.Mimori. There will be a Welfare student given out for free; S.Shizuko.

Unlike the original run of this event, it will only have a runtime of 1 week which may make it difficult to clear out the shop and farm for S.Shizuko Elephs. This event also has the return of the Conquest minigame which can be a good time to stock up on artifacts and credits if you are running low or want to stock up.

Currency Drops per Stage
Bolded text is the best stage to farm the currency

  • Momoyodou Glitter Coin: Area 3 and 4: 3-A
  • Turban Shell: Area 3 and 4: 4 3-B
  • Summer Ninjutsu Instructions Scroll: Area 3 and 4: 3-C

Artifact Drops per stage
Note that higher difficulty stages have higher-rarity drops.

  • Voynich Manuscript: Area 4 2-A
  • Totem Pole: Area 4 2-B
  • Crystal Haniwa: Area 4 2-C
  • Ancient Battery: Area 4 3-A
  • Aether Essence: Area 4 3-B
  • Antikythera Mechanism: Area 4 3-C

Shops and Event Currency

Momoyodou Glitter Coin

NOTE PRIORITIZE THE DEEP SEA HOTSPRING ISLAND USE RIGHTS OVER ANY OTHER ITEM FOR THIS SHOP. THIS ITEM IS REQUIRED TO PROCEED TO THE NEXT AREA.

For our first currency, Momoyodou Glitter Coin, prioritize grabbing school-specific materials namely, Hyakkiyako and Abydos Tech Notes feel free to skip out on Basic and Beginner rarities if you have enough. We recommend newer players to grab Activity Reports as they are needed to raise your student's level. You can consider grabbing furniture and Serika Elephs if you have surplus currency.

Turban Shell

NOTE PRIORITIZE THE MUSHIQUEEN CRUISE RESORT USE RIGHTS OVER ANY OTHER ITEM FOR THIS SHOP. THIS ITEM IS REQUIRED TO PROCEED TO THE NEXT AREA.

Next, we have the Turban shell, similar to the previous shop grab all school-specific materials first namely the Hyakkiyako and Abydos Blu-Rays. You can consider skipping Enhancement Stones, as they can always be bought daily from the shop. Consider grabbing Ayane Elephs if you lack healers for Hieronymus.

Summer Ninjutsu Instructions Scroll

NOTE PRIORITIZE THE ULTRA-LUXURY RESORT USE RIGHTS OVER ANY OTHER ITEM FOR THIS SHOP.  THIS ITEM IS REQUIRED TO PROCEED TO THE NEXT AREA.

For the last currency, Summer Ninjutsu Instruction Scroll, this shop features several items that are worth picking up. We highly recommend clearing out all artifacts available and prioritizing artifacts that you will need to raise a student's skills. After clearing out the artifacts, we also highly recommend grabbing the Firing Pins, as they are needed to raise Unique Equipment levels. Feel free to skip Hare Elephs as she does not find a lot of usage in raids.

Conquest

Conquest is a unique game mode that was part of the original run of this event. However, there have been minor changes made to this mini-game changing the progression slightly but the main goal has not changed; it is essentially a base-control mini-game that requires you to occupy tiles.

Here are some general tips on how to progress and where to farm

  • Reaching Area 3 or 4 should be your highest prioritize to maximize currency drop rates
  • Area 3 and 4 are similar in terms of AP efficiency, so farm which ever Artifact you are in need
  • If you wish to maximize credit gains then consider occupying all tiles
  • Upgrading Base Tiles are a high priority if you need S.Shizuko Elephs (87 Elephs from base upgrades)
  • Using students from specific schools net you bonus rewards so pay attention to what schools have bonuses

In general there are 3 types of tiles,

  • General Tiles which do not have any battles to them but require AP to occupy
  • Battle Tiles are tiles that require you to battle an enemy to occupy the tile
  • Base Tiles which are similar to Battle Tiles but allow you to occupy the and upgrade the base twice.

Character Overview

Wakamo is a Limited 3* Mystic Striker student who was originally our first FES student and will have a rerun banner alongside the new FES student Hanako (Swimsuit). On release, Wakamo was a strong option for a Single-Target damage dealer in all Mystic raids, mainly due to her high burst damage on EX Skill. However, she is not your traditional damage dealer, as she requires another student to accumulate damage for EX Skill. Outside of her burst, she deals relatively low damage, leading her to fulfill a more secondary DPS in a team.

Team compositions for Wakamo mostly lead to having another damage dealer in the team to stack up damage for EX Skill. In addition to this, she does not synergize well with Crit Buffers like Ako, which hurts solo damage potential. The introduction of her new Bond Item does solve this issue, as it provides a hefty boost in ATK.

If you plan on pulling for Wakamo, it is important that you invest in Unique Equipment 50 and Bond Item to reach her full potential. The role she fills in a team is solely to deal damage, making it important to maximize her burst. If you are reading this at the time of S.Hanako’s release and cannot afford to pull for both students. S.Hanako is usually the better option, as there are few options for a Sonic damage dealer and several alternatives for Mystic.

Strengths

  • Strong Single-Target damage

Weaknesses

  • Cannot Crit
  • Falls off slightly before the release of her Bond Item
  • Needs another damage dealer in the team

Skill Review

EX Skill

Starting things off, we have the bread and butter of Wakamo’s kit, her EX Skill. This targets 1 enemy and applies a debuff Accumulation for 10 seconds damage will then be stored and dealt again as Mystic damage.

We highly recommend having another damage dealer on the team to help Wakamo accumulate damage. She struggles to reach the damage cap and has an overall low damage output.

Since the Accumulation debuff only scales with ATK, this makes ATK buffers synergize well. Note that Accumulation damage is unable to Crit, which has some anti-synergy with some buffers like Ako

Basic Skill

This skill is a straightforward attack that deals damage to one enemy. With Bond Item unlocked it doubles down on this by increasing its damage multiplier. This skill should be raised after her Enhanced Skill is a substantial damage increase.

Enchanced Skill

Wakamo’s Enhanced Skill provides an ATK boost both at base and Enhanced+. This may have been an underwhelming effect on other damage dealers. For Wakamo, this skill provides one of the few buffs that affect Accumulation. We recommend raising this skill before Basic and Sub SKill, as it directly affects EX Skill damage.

Sub Skill

Finally, Wakamo’s Sub Skill deals an additional instance of damage against bosses. This skill comes into play in raids, where most enemies are bosses. While this is a strong skill on paper, it is not a high priority compared to the rest of her skillset.

Gameplay Progression

Early game: Wakamo can slotted into the team as a Single-Target damage dealer. If you are struggling to kill a Special armored boss. Outside of this, she does not find a lot of usage, as the early game is centered around AoE content

Early game alternatives:

Students listed here are only some of the notable options available.

Late game (High Investment): In the late game, Wakamo finds usage in all 3 Mystic raids as a Single-Target damage dealer. Even in Goz, where her armor type is weak against the boss, she still finds use in Insane+. However, this can be difficult as she is prone to getting one-shotted in Goz. For Perorodzilla, Wakamo usually fits into the team as a shiny hunter for Insane+.

  • Minimum Required Investment: Unique Equipment 40
  • Skill Leveling Priority: Enhanced > Normal > Sub

Conclusion

Overall, despite Wakamo being an older student and being the first FES student to be released. She is still one of the strongest options for all Mystic raids. Her straightforward but strong skill-set allows her to keep up with the rest of the competition. While Wakamo may see less usage in the future before her Bond Item is released. She is still a strong contender for a Mystic Single Target damage dealer, and this problem is solved by her Bond Item when it is released. However, if you already have other core Mystic damage dealers raised, consider skipping her banner for S.Hanako.

How Much Should I Invest?: Unique Equipment 50, should be your main goal to maximize the amount of damage she deals.

Character Overview

Hanako (Swimsuit) is a Limited 3* Sonic Striker student who will be our new and upcoming FES student alongside the first FES student, Wakamo. On release, S.Hanako did not have a specific niche to cater to but still managed to find usage in several AoE-related raids such as Perorodzilla, Goz, and Chesed. With the release of Kurokage in JP, S.Hanako now has a raid to take advantage of her damage type and terrain bonus.

S.Hanako’s overall playstyle is somewhat unique when compared to other damage dealers. She can immediately redraw her EX Skill after use. This allows for higher burst windows but can also lead to weird skill rotations, her EX Skill can end up unaligned.

If you can only pull for one student during the FES banner, we highly recommend prioritizing S.Hanako over Wakamo. As Wakamo has several Mystic damage dealer alternatives, Sonic is a relatively new damage type. This leads to there not being a lot of alternatives if you are looking to clear Kurokage.

Strengths

  • High AoE damage
  • Core pick for current Sonic raid (Kurokage)
  • Strong pick for off-color raids

Weaknesses

  • Limited FES

Skill Review

EX Skill

Starting things off, we have S.Hanako’s EX Skill, which deals damage to enemies in a fan-shaped AoE. This skill is directly tied to her Sub Skill as it consumes a water gauge to keep the card on hand, which allows you to use EX Skill multiple times. In addition to this, this skill has a low cost of 2, which allows for repeated use.

Basic Skill

S.Hanako’s Basic Skill deals damage to enemies in a circular AoE and leaves behind a residual AoE, reducing the enemies' DEF for 20s. While initially, this skill may look like your traditional AoE with some utility, the DEF debuff it applies is considered a unique debuff, allowing it to stack with every other DEF down in the game. Even with all these effects, we recommended raising this skill last, as her other skills provide better effects.

Enchanced Skill

Moving on to S.Hanako’s Enhanced Skill, we have a somewhat unique split scaling with buffs to both ATK and Crit DMG. This is an amazing effect that should be prioritized over her Basic and Sub Skill if you have Unique Equipment 40 unlocked.

Sub Skill

Lastly, S.Hanako’s Sub Skill is tied to her EX SKill. This skill adds a unique mechanic to S.Hanako, a water gauge. This gauge is charged by 40% every time an ally other than herself uses an EX Skill. Once fully charged it increases her ATK for 20 seconds and can hold a total of 2 charges.

The only minor downside this skill has is requiring you to pay attention to your rotation to get the most out of the ATK buff. We recommend raising this skill or Enhanced Skill first if you have Unique Equipment 40 unlocked.

Gameplay Progression

Early game: While there may not be any enemies with Elastic armor in the early game, S.Hanako still finds usage in the early game. This is mainly due to her high stats, strong EX Skill multipliers, and low cost. You can bring her into any armor-type general content, as she deals enough damage to deal with trash mobs.

Late game (High Investment): In the late game for Global, S.Hanako does not have a specific raid to cater towards, but this does not mean she performs badly for the raids currently released. She does well as an AoE damage dealer for Perorodzilla to deal with Perorominions and Goz in P1. On top of this, if you do not have better alternatives, she can be brought to Chesed. For the upcoming raid, Kurokage, S.Hanako is a must-pull to have a competitive score for Insane+.

  • Minimum Required Investment: Unique Equipment 40
  • Skill Leveling Priority: Enhanced = Sub > Basic

Conclusion

Overall, S.Hanako is a must-have character that has continued the trend of FES students being strong. Her amazing base stats and self buffs, strong skill multipliers, and low cost allow her to have great coverage in raids. Newer players will also highly benefit from S.Hanako's wide coverage in general content, as she can fit into almost any content.

How Much Should I Invest?: Unique Equipment 50, to maximize her damage in Kurokage.

Character Overview

Hinata (Swimsuit) is a Limited 3* Explosive Special student who will be introduced in the upcoming event “In Search of Hidden Ruins” alongside Ui (Swimsuit). What makes this banner unique is you are given free 100 pulls, so you will have to choose between S.Ui and S.Hinata. On release, S.Hinata is not a popular choice in the current Explosive raids released. However, she is still a strong damage dealer who can ignore the enemy’s DEF with the stats to back it up.

Strengths

  • Strong AoE damage

Weaknesses

  • Overshadowed by better alternatives
  • Limited and Non-Farmable

Skill Review

EX Skill

S.Hinata’s EX Skill, deals damage to enemies in a circular AoE that ignores the enemy’s DEF. Its damage is spread into 15 instances of damage, which can be important in raids like Kaiten P2, where the hit count will be important to take down the shield.

Basic Skill

Moving on to S.Hinata’s Basic Skill, it deals damage to an enemy which then bounces to nearby enemies who have not yet been attacked. While the damage multiplier on this skill is nothing to write home about, it ignores 80% of the enemy’s DEF and can bounce up to 6 times, allowing damage to stack up.

Enchanced Skill

At base, this skill provides an ATK boost, which can help with damage output. Where this skill truly shines is with its Enhanced+, as it increases S.Hinata’s Explosive Effectiveness. This is a highly sought-after buff as it is a significant damage increase and she cannot receive buffs from S.Hoshino.

Sub Skill

Lastly, S.Hinata has your standard partywide ATK buff for the entire team, which allows her to be used as an ATK statstick.

Gameplay Progression

Early game: S.Hinata can be brought into the team as an Explosive AoE damage dealer to help clear general content. If you are lacking Piercing AoE, S.Hinata can be a decent stand-in until you have a better alternative.

Early game alternatives:

Students listed here are only some of the notable options available.

Late game (High Investment): For the late game, S.Hinata can be brought into the team as a damage dealer, mainly for 2 raids Kaiten and Gregorius. Sadly, she is not the best option for either raid, as there are usually better picks. In addition to this, Gregorius does not have a terrain that S.Hinata can take advantage of, which causes her to fall behind in damage.

  • Minimum Required Investment: Unique Equipment 40
  • Skill Leveling Priority: Sub > Enhanced > Basic

Conclusion

Overall, S.Hinata is a solid Explosive AoE damage dealer who has been relegated as an extra option for players who are aiming to clear Torment. This is mainly due to her ability to ignore 80% of the enemy’s DEF, allowing her to deal a significant amount of damage to an enemy.

How Much Should I Invest?: Unique Equipment 40 is a good stopping point to unlock the additional Explosive Effectiveness.

Character Overview

Ui (Swimsuit) is a Limited 3* Piercing Striker student who will be introduced in the upcoming event “In Search of Hidden Ruins” alongside Hinata (Swimsuit). What makes this banner unique is you are given free 100 pulls, so you will have to choose between S.Ui and S.Hinata. On release, she has proven to be a niche but strong damage buffer somewhat similar to S.Hoshino.

Strengths

  • Strong damage buff

Weaknesses

  • EX Skill reposition can be hard to use
  • Maximizing buff uptime is difficult

Skill Review

EX Skill

Starting things off, we have the bread and butter of S.Ui’s kit, her EX Skill, which increases the team’s Piercing Effectiveness for 45s. This buff also allows you to buff multiple damage dealers, allowing it to fit perfectly in Hypercarry and Multi-DPS teams. Unfortunately, it can be hard to use, as it repositions allies to S.Ui’s Position. On the other hand, this can be used to your advantage to move your team away from an AoE attack.

Basic Skill

Moving on to S.Ui’s Basic Skill, we have another core component of her skillset. This increases the Piercing Effectiveness of all strikers for 30. To activate this skill, you are required to have 3 Clues, which can be gained by her Sub Skill. However, this skill has a steep activation condition which requires you to properly plan your rotation to make the most out of this skill.

Enchanced Skill

If your S.Ui is at 3*, you can completely ignore this skill, as her personal damage output is nothing to write home about. However, Unique Equipment 40 adds a maximum HP boost to this skill, making this skill highly valuable if you are lacking survivability.

Sub Skill

Lastly, for the Sub Skill, this provides her with an ATK boost and 1 Clue when an ally other than Ui uses an EX Skill 2 times. The main trigger condition of the Basic Skill, it is also because of this trigger condition that you are required to pay attention to your rotation. If you misalign your skills, it is possible to gain the Basic Skill buff either at the end of its duration or after the damage window of your rotation.

Gameplay Progression

Early game: S.Ui does not find usage in the early game, as her buffs are overkill for general content. She can be replaced with any damage dealer of the respective damage type or supports, healers, or tanks as needed.

Early game alternatives: Any damage dealer that matches the armor type of the stage you are trying to clear.

Late game (High Investment): For the late game, S.Ui finds usage 3 Heavy armored raids HOD, Binah, and Chesed for Torment. This is mainly due to her strong damage buffs, with decent durations. Unfortunately, she is not a popular option for Insane below as her damage buffs are usually overkill for that type of content.

  • Minimum Required Investment: Unique Equipment 40
  • Skill Leveling Priority: Basic > Enhanced = Sub

Conclusion

Overall, S.Ui is a potent Piercing buffer that finds usage in 3/4 Heavy armored raids. This is attributed to Piercing Effectiveness buffs, which can almost double the damage output of a student. However, this does not come without any caveats, as her EX Skill forces your team to move to her position, which makes it difficult to get everyone in the correct spot. In addition to this, the Basic Skill requires you to pay attention to your rotation or you will not benefit fully from its effects.

How Much Should I Invest?: 3* is usually enough for most cases, but if you wish to improve her survivability then UE40 can be considered.

Following the swimsuit rerun banners, we are introduced to a new event “In Search of Hidden Ruins ~”. This event features 2 new Limited characters Ui (Swimsuit) and Hinata (Swimsuit), and a new welfare Koharu (Swimsuit).

This event will have a full runtime of 2 weeks. This gives everyone ample time to farm the event currency to clear out the shop. The event also features a unique minigame, which provides you with several goodies that are worth farming. Lastly, there will be artifacts that can be farmed by completing stages.

Currency Drops per Stage
Bolded text is the best stage to farm the currency

  • Parchment Piece: Stage 1, Stage 5, Stage 9
  • Lemon: Stage 2, Stage 6, Stage 10
  • Old Key: Stage 3, Stage 7, Stage 11
  • Event Points: Stage 4, Stage 8, Stage 12

Artifact Drops per stage
Note that higher difficulty stages have better drops.

  • Mandrake: Stage 1, Stage 5, Stage 9
  • Voynich Manuscript: Stage 2, Stage 6, Stage 10
  • Haniwa: Stage 3, Stage 7, Stage 11
  • Ancient Battery: Stage 4, Stage 8, Stage 12

Shops, Gacha Box, and Omikuji

Parchment Piece

Starting off, we have the first event currency Parchment Piece. The main items to look out for here are the Trinity Tech Notes. Prioritize taking the Superior and Advanced rarities, as they can be hard to come by. Then consider taking Gifts such as Buried Treasure maps as they are needed to unlock Aru’s Bond Item. After those items, feel free to take Activity Reports as you see fit.

Characters with Events bonuses:

Lemon

Similar to the previous shop, you will want to prioritize school-specific mats such as Blue-Rays, clear out Superior and Advanced first. Other items you can consider going for are Gifts and Enhancement Stones if you want to stock up or are lacking.

Characters with Events bonuses:

Old Key

Lastly, for the final event currency with a shop, we have the Old Key. This shop does not feature any school-specific mats but instead has several Artifacts that are required to raise students' skills. There are also gifts available in the shop feel free to take them if you have spare currency.

Characters with Events bonuses

Event Points

Next, we have Event Points. While this currency will not have its shop, it will have important items such as Eligmas, Secret Tech Notes, and other goodies that are worth keeping an eye out for. The best stage to farm for this currency is stage 12, which you can prioritize if your main goal is to farm the mini-game. Alternatively, you can focus on other currencies first, as they also provide Event Points. After you have obtained enough of the other currencies to buy out items from the shop, you can farm for Event Points to reach milestones you are lacking or for the mini-game.

11.5M402010740206015501

Exploration

During this event, there will be a minigame that players can explore using Event Points. There are a total of 4 areas and 2 additional hidden areas players can access. Hidden Area 1 can be accessed from Round 1 and Hidden Island 2 from Round. If you have already cleared the Hidden Area, it is usually not worth going through it again.

There are generally 2 ways to go about farming this event. You can try to speedrun areas by only grabbing the required chest and moving on to the next area or grab all the chests in the area. We generally do not recommend skipping the chest, as the Credits they provide are valuable.

Each area features 3 Treasure Chests, one of which is a Special Treasure Chest, which will provide you with the full rewards and allow you to move on to the next area. Lastly, once you have moved on to a new area, you will no longer be able to return to the previous area.

When exploring you will encounter stages that will grant you items, here are their effects and recommendations on when to use them.

Item Priority: Marker > Lemon Juice = Lemon Jar > Treasure Detector

  • Lemon Drink: Increases maximum HP. when used, this should be used immediately after it is obtained, as it is a flat boost in HP.
  • Instant Lemon Juice: Restores HP around 2 or 3 HP when used. This should be used when your low on health to keep your team alive.
  • 8-Sided Dice: Can be used to roll from 1-8.
  • 10-Sided Dice: Can be used to roll from 1-10.
  • Peroro Doll: Blocks an incoming attack, can be used to block an enemy attack with a fixed round. Note that interacting with a question mark tile will reduce its durability.
  • Treasure Detector: Locates the position of the Special Treasure Chest.
  • Freedom Marker: Rolls a number that will be added to your previous rolls (e.g if the marker rolls a 5 that number will then be added to your next dice roll). Note that this item has a fixed durability/duration.
  • Freedom Dice: When used it will make your dice rolls fixed, this can be a good thing as you will always know what to expect while the effect is up. However, this also means you will do less damage or no damage at all against some mobs as the number is fixed.

Character Overview

Shiroko (Swimsuit) is a Permanent 3* Mystic Special student who will be having a rate-up banner during the upcoming event rerun “Abydos Resort Restoration Committee” alongside other returning students Nonomi (Swimsuit) and Wakamo (Swimsuit).

Following her release, S.Shiroko has become a staple choice in PvP. If you plan to retain a high ranking, this is attributed to several strong utility effects packed into her kit, such as Cost Recovery and Cost Reduction. Outside of this, she is a good backup student in most raids if you do not have core supports such as NY.Fuuka, Ako, and Himari.

Strengths

  • DEF debuff on a Special Student
  • Cost Reduction for all allies
  • Cost Recovery on Sub Skill

Weaknesses

  • Cost Reduction only triggers once per battle
  • Special Slot is extremely competitive for strong supports (NY.Fuuka, Ako, Himari. etc)

Skill Review

EX Skill

To start things off, we have S.Shiroko’s EX Skill which deals damage to 1 enemy and decreases their DEF for 30 seconds. This skill allows her to find niche usage in high DEF raids like Binah. While this skill does have a decent damage multiplier, she is unable to receive buffs from other buffer like Ako or Himari. In PvP, the defense reduction can help take down DEF centric tanks.

Basic Skill

Moving on to S.Shiroko’s Basic Skill, it provides a Crit Buff to all allies which can help the team’s damage output. The real reason to care about this skill comes with its secondary effect of reducing the entire team’s EX Skill cost by 1. This effect also applies to Special students other than herself.

Enchanced Skill

Not much to say here, while an ATK increase is always a welcome buff S.Shiroko does not deal enough damage to justify prioritizing this skill over the rest of her kit.

Sub Skill

Finally, we have the main highlight of S.Shiroko’s skillset for PvE content. This skill alone justifies bringing her into any team even if you are unable to make full use of the DEF debuff on her EX Skill.

Gameplay Progression

Early game: In the early game, S.Shiroko can be slotted into any team for her Sub Skill to help your team quickly cycle through EX Skills. Outside of this, the DEF debuff on the EX Skill does not come into play as often as AoE is preferred.

Early game alternatives:

Students listed here are only some of the notable options available.

Late game (High Investment):  In the late game, S.Shiroko can find usage in almost any raid mainly thanks to her Cost Recovery buff on Sub Skill. Unfortunately, there are several other alternatives for supports such as Himari, Ako, NY.Fuuka, and NY Haruka to name a few. Where S.Shiroko truly shines is in PvP, as her Basic Skill can change the tide of the fight. She also has a niche use case in Binah as a DEF debuffer.

  • Minimum Required Investment: 3*
  • Skill Leveling Priority: Sub > Basic = Enhanced

Conclusion

All in all, S.Shiroko is a solid student who has found usage in both PvE and PvP content. While she may not be the best pick for raids, she has still found usage as a backup student. For PvP, she has become a top pick, similar to how Shun is one of the most prevalent choices regardless of the terrain.

How Much Should I Invest?: You can usually leave her at 3* as her Enhanced+ does not provide a significant enough boost to her damage.

Character Overview

Wakamo (Swimsuit) is a Permanent 3* Piercing Striker student who will be having a rate-up banner during the upcoming event rerun “Abydos Resort Restoration Committee” alongside other returning students Nonomi (Swimsuit) and the new rate-up student Shiroko (Swimsuit).

On release, S.Wakamo was a strong option in HOD insane for her ability to deal a respectable amount of damage while applying CC. However, then she was overshadowed as Kayoko was able to solo CC HOD. With the addition of stronger Piercing damage dealers, such as Mika, S.Wakamo has mostly been benched. With the release of the new raid difficulty, S.Wakamo has once again started to see usage in extra teams that are trying to finish off the boss or take out the towers in P1.

Strengths

  • Lots of self ATK buffs
  • Strong CC effects

Weaknesses

  • Basic Skill takes too long to stack
  • Increases her own damage taken overtime

Skill Review

EX Skill

Starting things off, we have the highlight of S.Wakamo’s kit which deals damage to 1 enemy and has a respectable multiplier of 1074%. However, the main selling point of this skill is its multi-hit boasting 6 total hits with each being able to trigger CC

Basic Skill

Next, we have S.Wakamo’s Basic Skill, which is the main source of self-attack buffs, which ramps up over 3 minutes. While this skill does essentially double her ATK stat, it is unfortunately not enough to allow her to keep up with the rest of the Piercing damage dealers currently in the game.

Enchanced Skill

Similar to most other Enhanced Skills, it provides her a straightforward boost to her stats. Keep in mind that if you do not have UE40, we recommend raising her Basic Skill first, as it provides better damage buffs.

Sub Skill

Finally, S.Wakamo’s Sub Skill deals an additional instance of damage to enemies that are below 30% HP. With this skill, S.Wakamo can be brought into raids when the boss has less than 30% HP remaining to gain the full benefits of this skill. Note that the damage instance can Crit which may lead to some damage variance.

Gameplay Progression

Early game: Unfortunately, S.Wakamo does not find much usage in the early game as CC is not a required niche to clear general content. In addition to this, her ATK buffs take too long to stack up, making it irrelevant when trying to meet the time conditions to clear stages.

Early game alternatives:

Students listed here are only some of the notable options available.

Late game (High Investment): With high investments, S.Wakamo is a potent damage dealer who can carve out a niche for herself in CC-oriented raids like HOD. For Torment, she is commonly used, as a damage dealer who can apply CC. She is also usable in her own upcoming raid, Wakamo (Hovercraft) for phase 1.

  • Minimum Required Investment: Unique Equipment 40
  • Skill Leveling Priority: Enhanced > Basic > Sub

Conclusion

Overall, S.Wakamo is a solid student who has once again found relevance with the introduction of higher-difficulty raids. She is an excellent option to fill the CC role for additional teams in HOD if you do not have other alternatives available, such as Chihiro or Saki.

How Much Should I Invest?: Unique Equipment 40 is usually a good stopping point to get the additional ATK boost on her Enhanced Skill.

Here are a few things to take note

  • There are 3 difficulties for both encounters
  • Tickets generate every 30 mins and cap at 40
  • If you are unable to defeat the boss, the next run will retain the same amount of HP
  • All 3 difficulties have their own HP bar (If you are unable to defeat the Very Hard boss at 30% HP and decide to do Normal/Hard, you will have to start over at 100% HP but Very Hard will still retain 30% HP)

Character Overview

C.Saya is a Permanent 3* Piercing Special student who will be having a rerun during the upcoming event recap alongside other returning students Shun (Small) and Kokona. On release, C.Saya was one of the few students capable of being a strong AoE damage dealer for Chesed while being a Special student. This allowed players to have more flexibility when building teams. However, with the release of stronger AoE students and students that can fulfill multiple roles in a team like Cherino, C.Saya started to see less usage.

Strengths

  • Special AoE damage dealer allows for more flexibility when team building

Weaknesses

  • Low damage at lower investments
  • Not farmable

Skill Review

EX Skill

Starting things off, we have C.Saya’s EX Skill which deals damage to enemies in a rectangular AoE that lingers for 20 seconds. The important points of this skill comes with its lingering effects, as it can pick off newer enemies that spawn after the initial wave has been dealt with.

Basic Skill

Without Bond Item Lv2 unlock, this is your standard AoE skill which deals damage to enemies in a circular area. However, with Bond Item unlocked, it adds a Poison DoT, which deals a small amount of damage to enemies over time. This is a niche ability that comes into play in some JFD stages.

Enchanced Skill

Similar to most other Enhanced Skills, this provides C.Saya with a boost to her stats. However, at UE40 she gains a Stability buff which reduces the damage variance when dealing damage. While this may be good on paper, this stat is usually not worth investing Elephs unlocking as Stability does not come into play outside of specific raids.

Sub Skill

This skill allows C.Saya to be a potent Crit DMG statstick, allowing her to find usage in teams outside of her usual niche. However, you will most likely not default to picking C.Saya, as there are usually better alternatives available. We recommend raising this skill first as it increases the entire team’s damage output.

Gameplay Progression

Early game: In the early game, C.Saya is an AoE damage dealer who can cover a wide area of the map. At low investments, she may struggle to finish off enemies with her EX Skill due to its low multiplier. In addition to this, several Piercing AoE damage dealers are available, making it difficult to prioritize C.Saya.

Early game alternatives:

Students listed here are only some of the notable options available.

Late game (High Investment): In the late game, C.Saya finds usage mainly in 1 raid Chesed. This raid perfectly caters to her niche as it features several waves of enemies, C.Saya’s EX Skill fits well in Insane+ as the lingering AoE can deal with multiple waves of enemies and the additional spawns when enemies are defeated. Outside of this, she can find usage as a Crit DMG statstick for extra teams.

  • Minimum Required Investment: 3*
  • Skill Leveling Priority: Sub > Enhanced > Basic

Conclusion

Overall, C.Saya is a strong AoE damage dealer that has stayed relevant even after the release of other stronger alternatives. This is mainly due to the new release of higher difficulty in raids, allowing her to find usage in extra teams for Chesed Phase 1. She is also a welcome addition to a newer player’s roster, as C.Saya can free up a Striker student slot.

How Much Should I Invest?: 3* is usually enough to deal enough damage to clear out mobs for INS. If you wish to go further, Unique Equipment 30 is a good stopping point as Stability does not come into play in Chesed INS+.

Character Overview

Shun (Small) is a Permanent 3* Explosive Striker student who will be having a rerun during the upcoming event recap alongside other returning students Saya (Casual) and Kokona. Following her release, S.Shun was a strong option for an Explosive Single Target damage dealer with a relatively complex Buff and Debuff cycle. While she did not see as much usage in raids due to other alternatives being farmable such as Azusa, she was able to cover a different niche as her Terrain and Armor type covered different niches than Azusa.

Strengths

  • High Single Target damage

Weaknesses

  • Wants high investment and not farmable
  • Hard to use (Self ATK buff and debuff cycles)

Skill Review

EX Skill

Similar to other Single Target damage dealers, S.Shun EX Skill deals damage to 1 enemy with a somewhat lackluster damage multiplier. However, where this skill makes up for its lower multiplier is its ability to ignore 44% of the enemy's DEF. This boosts her damage to a respectable amount if you can properly time this skill with the buff from your Sub Skill.

Basic Skill

Similar to her EX Skill, this deals damage to 1 enemy every 25s, with Bond Item 2 unlocked it now ignores 44% of enemy’s DEF increasing the amount of damage this skill deals.

Enchanced Skill

At base this skill provides an ATK SPD boost which isn’t a terrible buff when considering her weapon type. Where this sees its value comes from its Enhanced+, providing S.Shun with a respectable ATK boost.

Sub Skill

Lastly, we have the main reason why S.Shun is difficult to use. Due to the nature of this skill, you will be required to pay attention to the Debuff and Buff cycle that occurs when S.Shun uses her EX Skill to maximize damage. Being unable to do so causes her to lose a significant portion of her damage, causing her to fall behind other damage dealers.

Gameplay Progression

Early game: Similar to most Single Target damage dealers, S.Shun does not find a lot of usage in the early game, as it is mainly centered around AoE content. However, if you are struggling to defeat a Light armored boss, then she can be a strong option.

Early game alternatives:

Students listed here are only some of the notable options available.

Late game (High Investment): At high investments, S.Shun is a competitive choice for an Explosive Single Target damage dealer. She finds more usage in Insane+ rather than Extreme, as a counterpart to Azusa who has a different Mood and Terrain match-up. However, with alternatives such as Aru being farmable and more specialized damage dealers like S.Nonomi being released, S.Shun has mostly been relegated as an extra pickup for Kaiten and Hieronymus.

  • Minimum Required Investment: Unique Equipment 40
  • Skill Leveling Priority: Sub > Enhanced > Basic

Conclusion

Overall, S.Shun is a strong Single Target damage dealer that has unfortunately been overshadowed by other farmable or more specialized alternatives. In addition to this, it is also difficult to maximize her damage as it requires you to pay attention to the Buff and Debuff cycle on Sub Skill. However, if you do not have the other alternatives or are willing to learn how to use her kit, she can be a strong and viable option for both Kaiten and Hieronymus.

How Much Should I Invest?: Unique Equipment 40 for the additional ATK boost and Bond Item level 2 also helps increase her damage output.

Character Overview

Iori (Swimsuit) is a Limited 3* Explosive Striker student who will be having a rerun during the upcoming event recap “~Prefect Team Administrator Emergency Special Order~ Head Prefect Hina's Summer Break!” alongside another Limited banner Hina (Swimsuit).

On release, S.Iori was a strong contender for a Single Target Explosive damage dealer that could be slotted into most teams. This is mainly due to her damage not being tied to an EX Skill making her a low-maintenance student that can be brought alongside another DPS. Nowadays, the focus has shifted away from running multi-dps teams into hyper-carry teams, but with the release of a new raid difficulty, she may once again see usage in Torment raids for extra teams.

Strengths

  • Strong Auto Attacker
  • Has 2 DoTs

Weaknesses

  • Better alternatives for a Single Target damage dealer
  • EX Skill is lackluster

Skill Review

EX Skill

S.Iori’s EX Skill, unlike most other students, isn't anything to write home about. It deals damage to enemies in a circular area without any additional effects while it does have a low cost of 4, its multiplier is only slightly better than Akari, who is a 2* student that can be farmed to UE50 for free. If you are looking for an AoE Explosive student, Aru is available via hard stages and completely overshadows the damage this EX Skill outputs.

Basic Skill

Next for the Basic Skill, it applies a Chill DoT every 25 seconds lasting 20 seconds. This skill is similar to her Sub Skill, the core difference is this skill does not require rng to trigger its effects and cannot have a 100% uptime.

Enchanced Skill

S.Iori’s Enhanced Skill provides a self ATK buff, this buff is highly preferred over Crit buff as Chill is unable to Crit.

Sub Skill

Lastly, S.Iori’s Sub Skill is another core component to her Auto Attack centric kit. Similar to the Basic Skill it applies a Chill debuff, it is treated as a different instance of DoT, allowing you to have 2 Chill debuffs applied to the enemy. Due to having a 20s duration and a 10s cooldown, it is possible to have a 100% uptime of this debuff.

Gameplay Progression

Early game: Initially, S.Iori may not seem like a decent choice for general content as she is unable to focus target the boss with her Sub and Basic Skill. Her EX Skill allows her to find usage as an alternative AoE damage dealer.

Early game alternatives:

Students listed here are only some of the notable options available.

Late game (High Investment):  During the late game, S.Iori mainly finds usage in 2 namely Kaiten and Hieronymus. Unfortunately, even in both of these raids, there are usually better damage dealers available if you are looking to clear Insane. However, if your goal is only to get a clear or do Torment then S.Iori can be a decent filler pick.

  • Minimum Required Investment: UE40
  • Skill Leveling Priority: Basic = Sub > Enhanced

Conclusion

Overall, S,Iori is a decent Single Target damage dealer whose main selling point is her strong DoT effects not requiring any Skill Points. This allows her to find a spot in almost any Explosive team that is struggling to find a suitable student. In addition to this, she has found some niche usage in PvP to deal with Light armored tanks such as Haruka.

How Much Should I Invest?: If you are planning to have S.Iori as a main/sub damage dealer for the team then UE40 is usually a good stopping point.

Character Overview

Hina (Swimsuit) is a Limited 3* Explosive Striker student who will be having a rerun during the upcoming event recap “~Prefect Team Administrator Emergency Special Order~ Head Prefect Hina's Summer Break!” alongside another Limited banner Iori (Swimsuit).

On release, she has proven to be a decent AoE damage dealer who was mainly catered towards Kaiten P1. In the past, raids had much less HP when the highest difficulty was Extreme, it was enough to keep her relevant option. However, with the release of Insane and as scores became more competitive, she was benched for other damage dealers who could output more damage for a better score.

Strengths

  • Wide EX Skill range
  • Low EX Skill Cost
  • Can CC and has CC PWR

Weaknesses

  • Low damage when compared to alternatives (Bond Item somewhat fixes this issue)
  • EX Skill limited to 5 targets

Skill Review

EX Skill

To start things off, we have S.Hina EX Skill, which deals damage to 5 enemies in a cone-shaped AoE. The main draw of this skill is with its AoE which can cover most of the map in general content. However, due to its low multiplier, it may fail to pick off tanky enemies.

Basic Skill

Hina’s Basic Skill deals damage to one enemy every 20 seconds. This starts becoming relevant with Bond Item 2 unlocked boosting the damage multiplier from 226% to 472% at LV10. On a side note, this skill has a 2-second stun, which can be helpful in niche raids like HOD.

Enchanced Skill

Moving on to S.Hina’s Enhanced Skill, it provides a Crit and CC PWR boost to herself. While the CC PWR boost can be helpful for HOD Insane and Crit can help with consistency, it does not address the main issue of her damage being on the low end when compared to other Explosive students.

Sub Skill

S.Hina’s Sub Skill is the main source of self buffs via ATK buffs. On paper, this skill does provide a hefty 82.5% ATK increase at full stacks. However, this usually takes too long to stack, affecting your overall score when trying to speedrun for a better score in raids. If your goal is only to clear, then this drawback is no longer a major issue.

Gameplay Progression

Early game: In the early game, S.Hina suffers from one major problem, the multipliers on her EX Skill. Due to the low multipliers, this makes it difficult for her to finish off enemies, if you are trying to speedrun content. However, she is still a decent option in the early game due to the low cost and ability to target multiple enemies.

Early game alternatives:

Students listed here are only some of the notable options available.

Late game (High Investment): With S.Hina’s Bond Item available in Global, she has received a much needed ATK boost, allowing her to once again find usage in Kaiten P1. This is mainly relevant in Torment if you are unable to clear the raid with 2-3 teams. Outside of this, she has found niche usage in HOD Torment as a CC option at UE40 with CC PWR on Enhanced Skill and good armor matchup.

  • Minimum Required Investment: UE30 or UE50
  • Skill Leveling Priority: Sub > Enhanced > Basic

Conclusion

Overall, S.Hina was a student who in the past, started to see less and less usage, as she was unable to keep up with the rest of the competition. However, she has once again found a resurgence in usage with the release of her Bond Item, providing her a much needed ATK boost to keep up with the other Explosive damage dealers.

How Much Should I Invest?:  If you are running low on Elephs, UE30 is usually a good stopping point as her Enhanced+ does not provide any additional damage. However, if you plan to bring S.Hina as a backup CC unit in HOD, then you can consider going for UE40.

Following the release of the new story chapter, we are greeted with a new event Special Summer Mission! RABBIT Squad. It features a new welfare student Miyu (Swimsuit), who will be the farmable student for this event. More details about her can be found HERE

Unlike most events, there will be 4 event currencies available for you to farm and a mini game similar to the Dice Track from Get Set, Go!. If you plan to pull for or have students from Valkyrie you need to raise, then this will be a good time to stock up on materials for them. In addition to this, artifacts for the upcoming FES character S.Hanako are available in the shop and stage drops.

Currency Drops per Stage
Bolded text is the best stage to farm the currency

  • Pebble: Stage 1, Stage 5, Stage 9
  • Shell: Stage 2, Stage 6, Stage 10
  • Dried Starfish: Stage 3, Stage 7, Stage 11
  • Frozen Shrimp: Stage 4, Stage 8, Stage 12

Artifact Drops per stage
Note that higher difficulty stages have better drops.

  • Antikythera Mechanism: Stage 1, Stage 5, Stage 9
  • Wolfsegg: Stage 2, Stage 6, Stage 10
  • Nebra Sky Disk: Stage 3, Stage 7, Stage 11
  • Aether: Stage 4, Stage 8, Stage 12

Shops, Gacha Box, and Omikuji

Pebble

To start things off, we have the first event currency/shop Pebbles. For players that pulled S.Miyako, S.Saki, or have a Valkyrie student who they wish to raise. We highly recommend prioritizing all the Tech Notes in the shop to help with skill leveling. You can then clear out the Activity Reports if you need the EXP or want to stock up.

For newer players, you may want to prioritize the Activity Reports first. This will help you raise other students to help clear stages. If you have excess currency you can exchange them for Gifts or Furniture.

Shell

Moving onto our next shop/currency, we have Shells which is similar to the first event shop. Once again, prioritize school-specific mats like Blu-rays if you have students that need them, then go for Enhancement Stones, as they can be hard to come by. We highly recommend you get at least 4 Buried Treasure Maps for Aru since this will be important to unlocking her Bond Item level 2.

Dried Starfish

Next, the Dried Starfish shop is unique from the previous two shops as it only has Gifts and Artifacts. We highly recommend clearing out both Antikythera Mechanism and Wolfsegg if you are running low or plan to roll for S.Miyako, S.Saki, or S.Hanako. Then clear out the Gifts if you have spare currency left over.

Frozen Shrimp and Dice Rice Track

For our last currency, we have Frozen Shrimp, while this currency will not have a shop. It will be part of another mini-event similar to the Get Set, Go! event. It will feature several goodies such as Activity Reports, Elephs, and Miyu (Swimsuit) Eligmas.

If you have missed Yuzu (Maid) and do not have Minori, we highly recommend farming this currency as this will be your main method to raise S.Miyu to a higher rarity. Keep in mind, that you will want to avoid the Enhancement Stones as they are not efficient to farm from Dice Race.

Video Showcase

General Strategy

Stage 5 of this event will have you go up against the FOX squad and similar to stage 3, there aren’t a lot of gimmicks to worry about. All enemies on this stage will either have high EVA or DEF, Yukino and Kurumi have a high DEF, which makes it difficult to burst them down without a Mika. On the other hand, Otogi and Niko have high Evasion, making it difficult to land hits on them. Throughout all phases we recommend prioritizing Niko over everyone else as she can apply a shield to the entire team, prolonging the encounter.

Once phase 3 starts, all FOX Squad members will prioritize targeting the leftmost student you have during your team selection. This makes it important to have a tank in that slot if you are struggling to survive. Then destroy the item in the image to the left, as both Fubuki and Kirino will join in to help.

Team Building

We recommend bringing 1-2 Piercing AoE damage dealers, then have either Mika or Tank soak the incoming damage. If you are a newer player, we recommend having a tank and healer since this stage can take a while. If you are struggling to deal with Yukino and Kurumi, then you can consider bringing a DEF shredder like Akane or Noa.

General Strategy

To simplify things, we have color coded the teams to help players keep track of the arrows shown below.

Yellow Arrow = Team 1 bossing team
Red Arrow = Team 2 Swapping
Blue Arrow = Team 3 Piercing

Turn 1

Team 2 (Center team): Start turn 1 by moving team 2 to the tile on their left.
Team 1: Then swap positions with team 2 and move upwards this should put you beside the first enemy of the stage Kurumi.
Team 3: Move upwards closer to the teleporter

Turn 2

Team 2: Once again with team 2 move to the left tile to reach the step tile.
Team 1
: If team 2 has been moved correctly, team 1 should now be able to access the tile above them.
Team 3: Go left closer to team 1.

Turn 3

Team 1: Move team 1 towards the breaking tile on the upper left.
Team 3: Followed by swapping positions with team 1 then attacking the next enemy Otogi.
Team 2: Once Otogi has been defeated a new tile should spawn to the left of team move towards it.

Turn

Team 1: Move team 1 to the right closer to the teleporter
Team 3: Then have team 3 step on the activation tile.
Team 2: Team 2 should now have a new tile they can move towards.

Turn 5

Team 1: Go upwards to reach the teleporter and use it.
Team 2: Once again move upwards make sure you are right beside the next enemy Niko.
Team 3: Then swap positions with team 1 and team 2, this should put you right beside Niko then move towards her to attack.

Turn 6

Team 2: Move to the tile closest to Yukino.
Team 1
: Swap positions with team 2 and attack the final enemy of the stage Yukino.
Team 3: Do nothing (Stage should be done).

Team Building

Team building for stage 4 is similar to the previous map stage 2. You will want to spread your damage dealers for teams 1 and 3. Team 2 does not need to have any damage dealers since they will not be fighting any enemies. Fill in the rest of your slots with healers, buffers, and tanks as you see fit.

General Strategy

This challenge stage is relatively straightforward without any unique mechanics to worry about, if you can burst down both S.Miyako and S.Saki quickly. However, for newer players, there are 2 skills to look out for the first being Moe’s AoE attack, which can deal a respectable amount of damage if your team is weak to her DMG type, then S.Miyu’s EX Skill can even pose a threat to high-level support students like Ui.

Another minor thing to take note of is S.Saki will come from the crates to the left, this may pose a threat to the student closest to her if they have Light armor. To deal with this you can reposition a student closer to S.Saki allowing the damage to funnel towards them.

Team Building

For this stage, you will want to focus on bringing Singe-Target Piercing damage dealers as both S.Saki and S.Miyako have Heavy armor. For newer players, we highly recommend having a healer in the team, if you have Light armored students in the team. But for players with well-invested Mika and hyper-carry buffers, you can easily one-shot both S.Saki and S.Miyako.

Red Arrow = Team 2 Piercing

Turn 1

Team 2: Start off the stage by moving team 2 upwards to the right of team 1.
Team 1: Swap positions with team 2 and head to the right tile.

Turn 2

Team 2: Move upwards to reach the enemy Kurumi.
Team 1: Once team 2 has defeated Kurumi a new platform will be available above team 1 move towards the newly spawned tile.

Turn 3

Team 1: For turn 3 move upwards to reach the next enemy Niko.
Team 2: Once Niko has been defeated a tile will spawn above team 2 move towards the newly spawned tile.

Turn

Team 2: Once again start turn 4 with team 2 to move towards our next enemy Otogi.
Team 1: Finally, swap positions with team 2 and move to the tile upwards (1 tile below the boss Yukino)

Team Building

Team building for challenge stage 2 is straightforward, start by filling both teams with AoE Piercing damage dealers and a Single-Target damage dealer for the bossing team. After which fill in the remaining slots with tanks, healers, and supports as you see fit. If you have a well-invested account, you can replace a tank/healer slot with another damage dealer.

Character Overview

Saki (Swimsuit) is a Permanent 3* Explosive Striker student who will have a rate-up banner alongside her other clubmate Miyako (Swimsuit). She is a generalist supporter that has become a core pick-up in Gregorius by being able to apply multiple debuffs on to the boss.

Strengths

  • Unique buff that boost the damage of Special students as a Striker
  • 3 debuffs on her EX Skill
  • Does not need high investment

Weaknesses

  • Low HP
  • Outside of specific teams/raids buffing the damage of Special students is usually worse than a normal Hyper-carry team

Skill Review

EX Skill

Starting things off, we have the main highlight of the skillset, her EX Skill. It deals damage to 1 enemy and applies three debuffs DEF, ATK, and Crit RES down for 50s. This allows her to find usage in almost any raid like Binah for DEF Shred, high Crit RES enemies like Goz, or any raid for survivability with an ATK debuff. This skill truly shines in Gregorius, in which the amount of debuffs applied is more important than what debuffs are applied on the boss.

Basic Skill

Moving on to her Basic Skill, it deals damage to enemies in a fan-shaped AoE after 15 normal attacks and deals additional damage against medium-sized enemies. Surprisingly, a strong skill with decent AoE capabilities, and when paired with her weapon type (MG) allows her to trigger the effect often.

Enchanced Skill

Saki’s Enhanced Skill is the weakest link in her skillset Accuracy is a stat that is rarely required outside of PvP, and the Debuff Retention at Unique Equipment 40 is usually overkill with her already long debuff duration of 50s.

Sub Skill

Saki’s Sub Skill increases the ATK of Special students and herself. As of writing, this buff is unique to Saki (Swimsuit) and pushes the damage dealt by some students, such as Minori to another level. We highly recommend raising this skill before Basic and Enhanced Skill, as it enables unique team compositions.

Gameplay Progression

Early game: For the early game, Saki (Swimsuit) does not see a lot of usage. Her niches of applying several debuffs to one enemy are not required to clear most general content stages.

Early game alternatives:

Supporter:

Students listed here are only some of the notable options available.

Late game (High Investment): In the late game, Saki (Swimsuit) can be used in almost any raid as her EX Skill covers a wide range of niches. However, where she truly shines is in Gregorius with a whooping 3 debuffs on EX Skill to fulfill the debuff requirements. In addition to this, she has a unique skill that buffs the damage of Special students, which can enable teams to run Special students as damage dealers.

  • Minimum Required Investment: 3*
  • Skill Leveling Priority: Sub > Basic > Enhanced

Conclusion

Overall, Saki (Swimsuit) is a strong and flexible supporter who was mainly designed around the new upcoming raid Gregorius by being a Special student buffer and debuffer. In addition to this, she has found usage in almost any raid for Extreme and below difficulty. Note that even if Saki (Swimsuit) is a strong student, there are other alternatives available for a debuffer, and she is not required to clear any content IF you are only aiming for Insane difficulty

How Much Should I Invest?: For most cases her base rarity 3* is enough, as her debuffs already have a long duration of 50s.

Should you pull on her banner?: If you plan to clear Torment Gregorius, Yes. She is a core pick-up for this raid as she can apply 3 debuffs on EX Skill while also buffing Special students' damage. But if your goal is only to clear Insane, there are other strategies that do not use Saki (Swimsuit).

Character Overview

Miyu (Swimsuit) is a Welfare 1* Explosive Special student who will be given for free during the upcoming event "Special Summer Mission! RABBIT Squad and the Mystery of the Missing Shrimp" alongside other banners Miyako (Swimsuit) and Saki (Swimsuit). She is a Special AoE damage dealer that has guaranteed crits on her EX Skill and a crit-centric skillset.

Strengths

  • Can be raised to Unique Equipment 50 during her event
  • Guaranteed crits

Weaknesses

  • Lower damage when compared to other alternatives such as Minori or Yuzu (Maid)

Skill Review

EX Skill

First off, we have Miyu’s EX Skill, which deals damage to enemies in a rectangular AoE. What makes this skill unique is its effect to guarantee Crits, which leads to fewer resets when maximizing damage in raids. Keep in mind that even with guaranteed crits, the damage this skill deals is generally worse than other damage dealers, such as Minori or Yuzu (Maid), due to their higher multipliers.

Basic Skill

Next, we have Miyu’s Basic Skill, which deals damage to enemies in a fan-shaped area. While this skill does deal a decent amount of damage (702% Lv10), it only triggers every 70s and cannot be manually targeted making it difficult to rely on this skill.

Enchanced Skill

Moving on to her Enhanced Skill, it increases ATK and Crit DMG, similar to Miyu’s original counterpart. However, the core difference is that Miyu (Swimsuit) can finally take advantage of Crit buffs with her EX Skill. Whether you should prioritize raising this skill or Sub Skill will highly come down to what content you will be bringing her to. We recommend Enhanced Skill first if you plan to have Miyu (Swimsuit) as your main damage dealer for Gregorius.

Sub Skill

Finally, Miyu’s Sub Skill increases the team’s Crit DMG. Once again, this is another skill that increases her personal damage output as she is guaranteed to crit. However, a core difference from Enhanced Skill is this skill affects the entire party, making it a better choice to raise if you plan to have Miyu (Swimsuit) as a statstick.

Gameplay Progression

Early game: In the early game, Miyu can find usage in content that has Light armored enemies. She is usually brought into the team as an AoE damage dealer with her EX Skill covering a large portion of maps in general content. In addition to this, you will most likely be running multiple damage dealers during this stage of the game, making her Sub Skill a good way to buff the entire team.

Early game alternatives:

Students listed here are only some of the notable options available.

Late game (High Investment): Miyu (Swimsuit) has mainly found usage in Gregorius Torment. However, this is mostly limited to extra teams as she normally falls behind in terms of damage when compared to the other alternatives such as Minori and Yuzu (Maid). Outside of this, she can still find usage in Kaiten P1 as an AoE damage dealer or a Crit DMG statstick with her Sub Skill for other raids.

  • Minimum Required Investment: Unique Equipment 40
  • Skill Leveling Priority: Sub >= Enhanced > Basic

Conclusion

All in all, Miyu is a welcome addition to any player's roster, she has carved out a unique niche for herself by being an AoE Special damage dealer that has guaranteed Crits. This has led her to become a strong option not only for veteran players who need an extra damage dealer for Gregorius, but also for newer players to help them clear general content stages.

How Much Should I Invest?: Since she will be given out for free and is only farmable during this event, we highly recommend farming up until Unique Equipment 40 to unlock the additional Crit DMG on Enhanced+.

Character Overview

Miyako (Swimsuit) is a Permanent 3* Explosive Striker student who will have a rate-up banner alongside her other clubmate Saki (Swimsuit). She is a generalist Evasion tank that has found usage in both general content and raids. This is mainly attributed to her low-cost EX Skill and universally useful debuff Crit DMG RES.

Strengths

  • Low cost EX Skill
  • Strong debuff (Crit DMG RES)

Weaknesses

  • Evasion tank with no self sustain

Skill Review

EX Skill

To start things off, we have Miyako’s EX Skill, which applies a Crit DMG RES debuff on the target and then deals damage to them. The main thing to take note of is the debuff has a long duration of 50s, allowing you to have permanent uptime if you rotate through your skills properly. This is not difficult to do as her EX Skill has a low cost (2 cost), allowing you to quickly cycle through your other skills.

Basic Skill

Moving on to Miyako’s Basic Skill, every 30s it increases evasion for 25s. While self-healing would be preferred over an EVA buff, it is still a decent effect that can help with survivability. We recommend raising this skill after Enhanced Skill, as it does not have a 100% uptime.

Enchanced Skill

Once again another straightforward skill that boosts her Max HP and Evasion (UE40). If you plan on bringing Miyako to hard content like high-difficulty raids. You can consider unlocking Unique Equipment 40 to help with survivability.

Sub Skill

Lastly, Miyako’s Sub Skill increases Cost Recovery for 10 seconds after evading 50 attacks. On paper, Cost Recovery is always a strong effect that can help the team generate more Skill Points, but the trigger condition makes this skill too infrequent in raids outside of Gregorius to be relied on. We recommend raising this skill last as her other skills aim to help her survivability.

Gameplay Progression

Early game: For the early game, Miyako (Swimsuit) plays like any other EVA tank but with the added benefit of having a low-cost EX Skill, which makes it easy to rotate through. While the debuff applied by this skill isn’t the most useful in the early game, it can still help out during boss fights. Keep in mind that Miyako (Swimsuit) does not have a form of self-sustain, which may require you to bring a healer.

Early game alternatives:

Students listed here are only some of the notable options available.

Late game (High Investment): During the late game, Miyako (Swimsuit) can find usage in all Extreme raids as a tank and debuffer. This is mainly due to Crit DMG RES debuffs work on almost any team since most students can Crit. For Insane+, She has one main use case, Gregorius. There she can act as a strong option to apply debuffs to the boss to fulfill the debuff requirements of the raid while also being the main tank for the team.

  • Minimum Required Investment: 3*
  • Skill Leveling Priority: Enhanced > Basic > Sub

Conclusion

All in all, Miyako (Swimsuit) is a solid all-rounder evasion tank that has found a unique niche in being a Crit DMG RES debuffer. This allows her to find usage in all Extreme and below raids, as those difficulties do not have damage types. However, in the same light, Miyako (Swimsuit) can be overshadowed by more specialized tanks that cater to the raid's niche.

How Much Should I Invest?: 3* is usually enough if you are only bringing her to general content. However, if you plan to do higher-difficulty raids (Torment), the additional evasion from Unique Equipment 40 might be worth considering.

General Stratagy

Once again, for this round of JFD, we have another simple but tricky gimmick to deal with. This stage will have you bring your strongest AoE Explosive/Mystic damage dealers to burst down enemies. However, the main issue comes with this stage's effects, which increases the enemy's Max HP and heals 10% of their HP whenever they are hit.

The main way to deal with this is to bring low hit-count students with high burst AoE damage like Aru.  Note that this doesn't mean that high hit-count students are off the table since the enemies to get an EVA buff at stage 4 and there are some team compositions with Hina that can work.

Team Building

To clear this round of JFD, you will want to have strong burst AoE damage dealers to quickly clear out the enemy wave. Students like Aru perform well here as her EX Skill and Basic Skill can dish out lots of damage without having multiple instances of damage.

For the rest of your team slots, fill them up with Cost supports like Ui and Fuuka (New Year) to reduce your damage dealer's skill cost or Cost Recovery supports like Cherino and Himari.

Outside of this, we recommend bringing a tank that has some self-sustain in their kit, such as Tsubaki or Hoshino. This will allow you to have an additional damage dealer or buffer instead of a healer.

Character Overview

Miyu is a Permanent Piercing Striker student who has quite a mish-mash for her entire skillset. She has generally been used as a damage dealer or a Sub-DPS to help the team deal a bit more damage. Unlike most other conventional damage dealers, she needs the assistance of another student who can put out a lot of attacks quickly, such as a strong Auto Attacker like Kazusa or Maki.

Now, you may be wondering if you can run a Miyu hypercarry team or be tempted to do so, and while this is a viable option. Miyu is generally not the best option for that role as she is unable to take advantage of some core buffers such as Ako and Himari as she isn’t able to Crit with her EX Skill.

In addition to this, her overall skill set is unfortunately mismatched and does not synergize well with each other. The main issue stems from her having Crit DMG buffs when she cannot Crit with EX Skill. This leads to her being overshadowed by her alternatives, such as Mika, Iori, and Kazusa.

Strengths

  • Good synergy with Auto Attackers

Weaknesses

  • Niche
  • Team dependant
  • Overshadowed by other alternatives

Skill Review

EX Skill

The main highlight of Miyu’s Kit and her main source of damage. It applies a debuff on an enemy, which deals an additional instance of damage when an ally attacks. This leads to Miyu being reliant on the team to deal the bulk of her damage while also heavily incentivizing you to run Auto Attackers. Another thing to note is the damage dealt from this skill is mainly done over time instead of being front-loaded on use.

The multi-hit effect of this skill can come into play in the new JP raid Wakamo (Hovercraft), which heavily incentivizes running students who can deal multiple instances of damage.

Basic Skill

A straightforward skill that allows Miyu to deal a decent amount of damage regularly. Normally, this skill would not be the highest priority to raise if this skill was on any other student. Unfortunately, Miyu’s Enhanced and Sub Skill aim to increase a stat that she cannot take advantage of.

Enchanced Skill

Normally, this skill would be a high priority to raise another student. However, Miyu is unable to crit with her EX Skill making this skill extremely unappealing to raise.

Sub Skill

Similar to her Enhanced Skill, this skill would have been a high priority to raise another student. However, Miyu is unable to crit with her EX Skill, making this skill extremely unappealing to raise. If you do insist on raising either Enhanced or Sub Skill, we recommend prioritizing raising this skill as it has a higher Crit DMG value.

Gameplay Progression

Early game: In the early game, Miyu is still quite an oddball as her niche is unfortunately not a great effect when wanting to clear stages quickly. Due to how her EX Skill works the bulk of her damage is done overtime and is not frontloaded. In addition to this, Miyu will want her team to attack the target of her EX Skill, which can be difficult if there are trash mobs in the way.

Early game alternatives:

Students listed here are only some of the notable options available.

Late game (High Investment): On release, Miyu found some usage in Urban HOD as a damage dealer or hypercarry. However, with the release of better damage dealers such as Kazusa and MIka, she is no longer a relevant choice there. Recently, in JP she has found usage in Wakamo (Hovercraft) as her niche fits phase 2. But once again, she is overshadowed by a new student catered towards that niche Meru.

  • Minimum Required Investment: 3*
  • Skill Leveling Priority: Basic > Sub > Enhanced

Conclusion

Overall, Miyu has been quite a weird one on her release, as to this date, her skill set has not received any type of changes to allow her to stand toe to toe with the rest of her competition. While she did have a slight niche during the earlier stages of the game, she was a decent option for Urban HOD. Unfortunately, she can no longer keep up with the other alternatives currently available. However, with the introduction of Wakamo (Hovercraft), Miyu has once again found usage in Torment for her ability to deal multiple instances of damage.

How Much Should I Invest?:  UE 40, Miyu benefits from having her Unique Equipment raised to 40 as her Enhanced Skill gains an additional ATK SPD buff, which synergizes well with her EX Skill.

Should you pull on her banner?: Unfortunately, with the release of better alternatives such as Mika, Kazusa, and Iori being farmable, we recommend not to pull for her. Due to how heavily outclassed, she is against the other alternatives and wanting a high amount of investment to do damage. If you are looking for a student for phase 2 Wakamo (Hovercraft), then Meru is the better pick-up.

Character Overview

Moe is a Permanent 3* Piercing Special student, who is currently having a rerun rate-up banner alongside her other clubmate Miyu. Recently, On her release, Moe has been one of the top choices for a Piercing AoE damage dealer in high-difficulty raids (Torment).

Strengths

  • High AoE damage (High investments)
  • Large EX Skill AoE

Weaknesses

  • Non-farmable DPS
  • Low damage at lower investements

Skill Review

EX Skill

Starting things off, we have Moe's EX Skill, which deals damage to enemies in a rectangular AoE and inflicts Burn. This skill allows Moe to shine in Chesed P1 since it is centered around dealing with large groups of enemies. Note while this skill has a DoT effect, it has a low damage multiplier and lasts for 20 seconds. This is mainly catered towards niche situations such as JFD.

Basic Skill

Moving onto Moe's Basic Skill, it deals damage to 5 enemies and applies a Stun effect. This skill adds to her AoE capabilities while adding some utility alongside it. However, it is too infrequent to be relied on only triggering every 40s. In addition to this, the Stun only lasts for 1.6 seconds at max level and should not be relied upon in HOD.

Enchanced Skill

Moe's Enhanced Skill provides a boost to ATK. We recommend raising this skill after Sub Skill. As it helps her reach damage thresholds in Chesed.

Sub Skill

Lastly, Moe's Sub Skill boosts the team's ATK stat. Another straightforward but welcome effect to boost the team's damage output. We recommend raising this skill before Enhanced and Basic Skill.

Gameplay Progression

Early game: Moe shines during the early stages of the game, as it is centered around dealing with waves of enemies. Note that Moe has relatively low damage in the early game, which makes it difficult for her to finish off enemies with only 1 EX Skill. In addition to this, there are also several AoE Piercing students available, so she may not always be your first pick.

Early game alternatives:

Students listed here are only some of the notable options available.

Late game (High Investment): In the late game, Moe has one main use case for raids Chesed. She is usually brought into the team as an AoE damage dealer for phase 1. Being a Special student can go a long way when team building, if you need/want an additional Striker student. In addition to this, she provides a teamwide ATK buff, allowing her to find usage in raids outside of Chesed for extra teams.

  • Minimum Required Investment: 3*
  • Skill Leveling Priority: Sub > Enhanced > Basic

Conclusion

Overall, Moe is a strong AoE damage dealer that still finds usage to this day, but with Piercing being an oversaturated damage type, there are other alternatives available. However, she stands out by being a Special student, which can be important for Chesed Torment P1, where you will most likely have multiple damage dealers in the team. Making teamwide ATK buff more appealing than the usual Single-Target buffers like Ako and Himari.

How Much Should I Invest?: 3*, this is usually enough if your goal is only to clear ins Chesed, but if you plan on clearing tmt, having UE40 can help meet the damage threshold needed to clear out mobs in phase 1.

Should you pull on her banner?: No, there are several F2P alternatives available for a Piercing AoE damage dealer.

Character Overview

Saki is a Permanent 3* Piercing Special student, who is currently having a rerun rate-up banner alongside her other clubmate Miyako, and a new student Minori. Recently, Saki has become a less popular choice for a CC student. With the introduction of Torment difficulty, she may once again see a resurgence in usage.

Strengths

  • High ATK Stat
  • Long duration Crowd Control with AoE

Weaknesses

  • Extremely Niche

Skill Review

EX Skill

Starting things off, we have Saki's EX Skill. It deals damage in a circular AoE and then applies a Crowd Control effect, this is the main highlight of the entire skillset it has allowed her to carve out a niche in HOD. Its AoE is wide enough to target the pillar and boss in phase 2.

Basic Skill

Next, Saki's Basic Skill deals damage to the enemy with the lowest HP and applies a Burn effect. The Burn on this skill is treated as a DoT, which can be helpful in niche content such as JFD stage 13.

If you want to maximize the damage dealt in a raid, you can consider raising this skill slightly. However, the damage increase does not justify the skill material cost therefore, we recommend leaving it at level 1.

Enchanced Skill

Saki's Enhanced Skill provides her a decent boost in ATK. However, this skill does not need to be prioritized, over her Sub Skill. As it does not affect the team and her personal damage output is nothing to write home about .

Sub Skill

When paired with her extremely high ATK stat, Saki becomes a potent ATK statstick on par with Karin at high investments.

We recommend raising this skill first, as its effects help with the team's damage.

Gameplay Progression

Early game: During this stage of the game, Saki does not find a lot of usage as her niches aren't required for general content. if you are lacking or want an ATK statstick/buffer to boost your team's damage, then Saki can be a good option if Kotama is already in a different team.

Early game alternatives:

Students listed here are only some of the notable options available.

Late game (High Investment): In the late game, Saki mainly found usage in HOD to apply CC effects on the bosses and pillars. When compared to Saki's other alternatives (namely Chihiro), she can apply CC effects in an AoE, which allows her to target both the pillar and the boss. In addition to this, Saki is more damage/buff-oriented by increasing the team's ATK.

  • Minimum Required Investment: 3* or Unique Equipment 40 (statstick)
  • Skill Leveling Priority: Sub > Enhanced > Basic

Conclusion

Overall, Saki is a niche but strong support student with unique utility attached to her skillset. However, nowadays with the introduction of Himari in hyper-carry teams, the current strategy to clear HOD has shifted away from bringing CC application with Specials to Strikers. In addition to this, HOD Insane+ highly favors students with CC Power in their skillset, making Kayoko a popular option to fill the CC role alone.

How Much Should I Invest?: 3* or Unique Equipment 40 (statstick), we highly recommend leaving her at 3* as Karin is always farmable via hard stages if you need an extra ATK statstick.

Should you pull on her banner?: If you have her alternatives like Chihiro or a built Kayoko, No. She is not a must-have to clear HOD, as there are other students with CC effects.

Character Overview

Miyako is a Permanent 3* Piercing Striker student, who is currently having a rerun rate-up banner alongside her other clubmate Saki, and a new student Minori. Recently, On her release, Miyako found usage in HOD to apply CC and with the addition of her Bond Item she has once again found usage in Torment HOD.

Strengths

  • Strong Crowd Control
  • High HP and EVA

Weaknesses

  • No self-sustain

Skill Review

EX Skill

To start things off, we have Miyako's EX Skill, which deals damage and applies a Stun effect for 5.5s. Other than having a relatively long stun time, there isn't much to write home about this skill.

Basic Skill

Next, we have Miyako's Basic Skill, which deals damage to enemies in a fan-shaped AoE and splits into 5 fragments. This skill does have a high total damage multiplier of 800% (870% with Bond Item) if all fragments hit, but Miyako does not have enough ATK to take advantage of this skill.

Note that having her Bond Item adds a debuff, which decreases the enemy's CC RES. This effect can be very strong in HOD Insane+, where you will need high CC durations to groggy the boss.

Enchanced Skill

Similar to most Enhanced Skills, this skill provides a decent boost to Miyako's stats. This skill truly shines at Enhanced+ with the additional boost to DEF. As an evasion tank, Miyako will not have a Bag slot, making this skill a great way to give her some DEF.

Sub Skill

Lastly, for Miyako's Sub Skill, reduces Incoming Damage for 16 seconds after using an EX Skill. Generally, this is a welcome addition to content that has Miyako spamming her EX Skill such as HOD. For general content, this is usually a dead skill since you will want to prioritize dealing damage instead of stunning enemies.

Prioritize raising this skill, if you plan on bringing Miyako in HOD or CC oriented content.

Gameplay Progression

Early game: During the early game, Miyako can find a spot in teams due to being an evasion tank. Since evasion does not scale with level, allowing her to tank through most early game content. However, when the t4 bag becomes available, other tanks like Hoshino become much more desirable for her self-sustain. In addition to this, Tsubaki is a low-rarity alternative and, in most cases is a better choice.

Early game alternatives:

Students listed here are only some of the notable options available.

Late game (High Investment): In the late game Miyako has one main use case in raids HOD. Miyako's EX Skill allows her to apply CC effects on the pillar to get through phase 1. However, the main drawback is survivability with no self-sustain in her skillset, Miyako generally requires some healing to keep her alive through the stage. This usually causes your team to lose points in Insane difficulty. If your goal is to clear Torment, then she can be a great addition to your team.

  • Minimum Required Investment: 3*
  • Skill Leveling Priority: Sub > Enhanced > Basic

Conclusion

Overall, Miyako has once again seen a resurgence in usage with the introduction of Torment raids. As a tank, Miyako may struggle to keep herself alive due to the lack of self-sustain in her skillset. However, if you are willing to keep her alive, Miyako can be a potent source of CC alongside her CC RES debuff.

How Much Should I Invest?: 3*, this is usually a good stopping point as Eligmas are better spent on core damage dealers.
Should you pull on her banner?: No, even if you are looking for a tank with CC effects there are F2P alternatives available like Tsubaki and Hoshino.

With the Dragon and Tortoise event coming to a close, we are given a few weeks without an event to farm. But instead we will be greeted with a new main story chapter and a guide task. Alongside introducing 1 new character banner and 2 returning students. In this article, we will briefly go over whether Minori is worth pulling for or saving for another banner.

Overview

Minori is a Permanent Explosive Special Student who has generally found usage as an AoE damage dealer and buffer in Explosive teams for her Sub Skill. As a Special damage dealer, you will want to have her Unique Equipment at 50 for the additional damage boost.

On release, Minori will not find a lot of usage in most Explosive raids as there are usually better options available. However, for the upcoming raid Gregorius, Minori is the premier pick up for that raid due to her high AoE damage output. In addition to this, team building for Gregorius is stricter than other raids, as it requires several debuffers for mechanics such as Servant of the Servants of the Saint.

A more In-depth review about Minori will be available soon.

Should you pull on this banner?

Now that we know what Minori provides to the team, is she worth pulling for?
First and foremost, if Minori is your favorite student, then don't let this guide stop you from pulling her. As at the end of the day it is your game and account.

For newer players and non-competitive players, No. While Minori is a strong pick-up for Gregorius, at the end of the day, she is just another damage dealer that you can borrow from other players. In addition to this, Minori wants to have Unique Equipment 50 to maximize her damage output, since she can't be buffed by traditional supports like Ako and Himari.

But for players who wish to be competitive or do Torment Gregorius, Maybe. If you lack debuffers and need to borrow one, having your own Minori will be essential to clearing the raid. However, if you have enough debuffers with good investment levels, it is possible to do Gregorius Torment with 1 team, allowing you to just borrow Unique Equipment Lv50 Minori.

Blue Archive Reroll Tier List https://dotgg.gg/blue-archive-reroll-tier-list/ Tue, 12 Dec 2023 20:50:56 +0000 https://dotgg.gg/?p=4830 Best Blue Archive characters to aim for, especially when starting a new account!

The post Blue Archive Reroll Tier List appeared first on DotGG.

]]>
In this article we will go over which students to prioritize when rerolling for Blue Archive. If you are looking to learn how to reroll in Blue Archive, we recommend checking out this Reroll Guide. Rerolling in Blue Archive is not necessary to progress through the game, but some students can help you progress through stages more easily or are essential for team building in the late game. If you plan on rerolling, we recommend getting at least 2 students listed below.

TierStudent
S+Himari, Ako, Iroha, Ui
SCherino, Iori, Reisa, Kokona
AHaruna, Hibiki, Nodoka (Hotspring)
BAru, Azusa, Koharu, Serina (Christmas)
2* and 1*Tsubaki, Serina, Kotama, Mutsuki, Hanae, Chise

Notes

  • Ratings and reviews are based on my personal opinion.
  • This tier list aims to help players have an easier start or get core students that can be used in multiple raids.
  • This tier list does not cover raid-specific ratings due to how armor types affect damage. While also catering towards specific niches, making some characters that are BIS (best-in-slot) in some raids and unusable in others. (e.g Chihiro is a strong pick for HOD but finds no usage anywhere else)
  • All students are viable and have their own use cases. It's a matter of how much you willing to invest in them.
  • Due to the sheer number of students in the game (Currently 160-ish), we will only be going over standout options and non-limited/welfare students.
  • A student's base rarity is not indicative of their strength in General Content, PvP, or Raids. The difference between 3* and low rarity students is their accessibility, low rarity students perform similarly or sometimes outperform 3*.

Tier S+

Students in this category have found usage in most if not all raids or make progressing through the early game a breeze.

Himari

RolePositionAttack TypeArmor Type UsecaseFarmable?
Damage BufferSpecialPiercingLightRaids,
General Content
No

Starting this off we have Himari, a core pick-up to any Hyper-Carry team composition. Her EX Skill buffs the ATK stat of a student by 103%, this allows some team compositions reach damage thresholds to skip through raid mechanics/phases. In addition to this, she also has one of the best buffs on her Sub Skill Cost Recovery. She also finds usage in General Content since you will want to rotate through your skills quickly to clear the stage.

A minor nitpick would be her ATK buff is generally overkill for most General Content stages and is a Single-Target buff. For the early game, multi-DPS team compositions are far more common and do not have a high damage threshold you have to meet. In addition to this, Himari does not deal damage herself, which requires you to have a relatively built damage dealer to take advantage of her buffs.

Ako

RolePositionAttack TypeArmor Type UsecaseFarmable?
Damage BufferSpecialMysticHeavyRaidsNo

Next, we have Ako, another core component of the Hyper-Carry team. Ako's EX Skill is similar to Himari, but instead of buffing ATK, she increases Crit Rate and Crit DMG. This buff is usually more potent when only considering damage potential and means less resetting for crits when trying to get a top score in raids. However, Ako has sometimes been swapped out for Fuuka (New Year) in top score teams, for her ability to cut a student's EX Skill cost to half.

Ako has similar problems to Himari in General Content but overall finds less usage, as her damage buffs are overkill for those stages and the Basic Skill cannot be targeted or triggered manually. Note that some raid bosses have high Crit RES, which may make Crit RES shedders a better option in raids like HOD.

Iroha

RolePositionAttack TypeArmor Type UsecaseFarmable?
Tactical SupportSpecialMysticHeavyRaids,
General Content,
PvP
No

Iroha should be your go-to pick if you are looking for a student to breeze through the early game. Iroha's EX Skill summons a tank on-field that is treated like a Striker Student. This allows her to receive buffs from other Special students like Ako or Himari.

The main highlight of her EX Skill is the secondary effect tied to it, which triggers every 15 seconds and deals damage that ricochets between enemies. This effect alone is enough to clear out waves of enemies in General Content regardless of armor type. She can do all that with low-skill investments (1/1/1/1). On top of this, she is also a core damage dealer in Perorodzilla and a potent ATK stat stick in other raids.

Iroha's only drawback would be the high EX Cost at Skill level 1, which requires a whooping 8 SP to cast and cannot be reduced by traditional cost supports like Ui and Fuuka (New Year). However, this is only a minor drawback, as once her EX Skill is activated, it can essentially clear the stage by itself.

Ui

RolePositionAttack TypeArmor Type UsecaseFarmable?
SupportStriker-BackExplosiveLight RaidsNo

Unlike the rest of the students in this tier, Ui does not have any significant damage buffs or deal any significant damage herself. However, she packs unique utility in her EX Skill, which decreases the skill cost of any Striker student by half for two uses.

Note that the Cost Reduction has NO DURATION, allowing you to keep the buff indefinitely or apply the effect to two students. In addition to this, she also has a Crit buff on Basic Skill with a relatively good uptime.

However, this does not come without any drawbacks. As a Striker Support, she will generally be at a low rarity which makes Ui prone to getting one-shotted in raids. In addition to this, her EX Skill is expensive at level 1 (5 cost), and Cost Reduction is not required to clear early game stages.

Tier S

Students in this category are generally strong pick-ups without any major weakness

Cherino

RolePositionAttack TypeArmor Type UsecaseFarmable?
Support, AoE DPS, DebufferStriker-MiddlePiercingLight Raids, General ContentNo

Cherino is an all-rounder student who has an insane amount of utility packed into her kit. She is most commonly used for the Cost Recovery on Sub Skill to help with skill point generation. Alongside a potent Crit DMG RES shred on Basic Skill making her a strong pick-up in both General Content and Raids. In the late game, she finds usage in Chesed as an AoE damage dealer for both phases and as a tank, support, or debuffer depending on the raid.

With all that going for Cherino it may sound like she belongs in the S+ tier. However, there are some issues in her skillset and stat spread. The most glaring issue is an extremely low Accuracy stat, this causes her EX Skill to miss the majority of its damage and makes the damage output unstable.

Next, Cherino's Basic Skill applies Focused Assault, which forces the entire team to attack the target of this skill. This can cause the team to attack the wrong enemy or reposition them to an unfavorable area. In addition to this, the debuff has a short duration of 15 seconds and triggers every 40 seconds. This affects the skill's overall uptime and requires you to adjust your skill rotations accordingly to take advantage of the debuff.

Iori

RolePositionAttack TypeArmor Type UsecaseFarmable?
Damage DealerStriker-BackPiercingHeavy Raids,
General Content,
PvP
Yes

On the game's release, Iori was one of the best students you could reroll to ensure easy progression. However, with the release of newer students, there are now several alternatives available. In addition to this, she is now farmable via Hard Stages making it hard to justify prioritizing her over the rest of the students in the S+ tier.

Reisa

RolePositionAttack TypeArmor Type UsecaseFarmable?
Tank, Debuffer, CCStriker-FrontPiercingHeavy Raids, General ContentNo

If you are looking for a do-it-all tank, then Reisa is the tank you're looking for. Her skillset provides self-healing via Basic Skill while also increasing the team's damage output with a DEF debuff.

Reisa's EX Skill deals damage to enemies in a fan-shaped AoE and removes one debuff on herself. This is mainly catered towards a specific raid Perorodzilla to cleanse the laser debuff, which can KO a tank or wipe the party if the effect is not cleansed.

Lastly, her Sub Skill decreases DEF and applies a Taunt on enemies hit by the EX Skill. Both of these effects allow her to find usage in raids namely Gregorius and HOD.

Unfortunately, being a jack of all trades means there are usually better alternatives available. However, she can still be brought in as a backup tank or stand-in for newer players who do not have the specific students to her niches.

Kokona

RolePositionAttack TypeArmor Type UsecaseFarmable?
HealerStriker-MiddlePiercingSpecial Raids, General ContentNo

Kokona is somewhat in a unique position as you could argue that she belongs in the tier below since there are always 2* or 1* healers available, but unlike most Striker healers Kokona is the only student who can reduce the entire team's EX Skill cost by 1 INCLUDING Special students. In addition to this, her EX Skill provides a hefty heal at an extremely low cost (2 Cost).

Her main drawback comes from being a Striker healer. She can be KO'd by enemies unlike traditional Special healers. In addition to this, you will have to take the enemy's damage type into consideration to ensure she does not get one-shotted (Only relevant for Insane+ raids).

Tier A

Students in the A tier are still general strong pick-ups but are either farmable or are not essential in the early or late game

Haruna

RolePositionAttack TypeArmor Type UsecaseFarmable?
Damage DealerStriker-BackMysticHeavy Raids, General Content,
PvP
Yes

On release, Haruna was one of the few Mystic students available in the game. This led her to find wide spread usage in General Content. Haruna has also found usage in all 3 Mystic raids, as she can deal both AoE and Single Target damage. In addition to this, she is also farmable allowing you to fully raise her to Unique Equipment 50 for free. But in the same light since she is farmable, there is little reason to prioritize Haruna over the students in the tiers above.

Hibiki

RolePositionAttack TypeArmor Type UsecaseFarmable?

AoE DPS,
Buffer
SpecialExplosiveHeavy Raids, General ContentYes

Similar to Iori, Hibiki was the go-to reroll target on the game's launch. The large AoE on the EX Skill made her a top choice when progressing through the early game, as it could clear out a wave of enemies. However, with the release of Iroha, She has mainly been relegated to being a secondary option in General Content. In raids, Hibiki can be used in all 3 Explosive raids as a damage dealer or a Crit DMG buffer with her Sub Skill for other raids.

Nodoka (Hot Spring)

RolePositionAttack TypeArmor Type UsecaseFarmable?
Healer, BufferStriker-BackExplosiveSpecial Raids, General Content,
PvP
No

If you don't have a Striker healer and Serina is in another team, Nodoka (Hot Spring) will be your go-pick for a healer due to her overall high healing output. She also has an ATK buff on her Sub Skill that can help with your team's damage output.

Due to Nodoka (Hot Spring)'s EX Skill applying its healing over time and cannot be repositioned after cast, it can lead to some situations where your team will move on to the next area without receiving enough healing. However, this is only an issue in General Content and is only noticeable if your team can clear out enemy waves quickly. In raids like Hieronymus which is centered around healing, Nodoka (Hot Spring) is one of the few students that can brute force the Lantern with a Healing Reduction debuff.

Tier B

Solid students who still find usage but are generally have better or lower rarity alternatives available

Aru

RolePositionAttack TypeArmor Type UsecaseFarmable?
Healer, BufferStriker-BackExplosiveLight Raids, General ContentYes

Aru is in a similar position as Haruna, in which she is a strong option for an AoE Explosive damage dealer in the early game. However, unlike Haruna, Explosive students have more alternatives available, such as Mutsuki and Akari both of which are 2* students. At high investments, Aru still finds usage in all 3 Explosive raids, with her Unique Equipment and Bond item giving her a much-needed damage boost.

Koharu

RolePositionAttack TypeArmor Type UsecaseFarmable?
HealerStriker-BackExplosiveHeavy Raids, General ContentYes

With the release of newer and more specialized Striker healers, Koharu has somewhat fallen out of favor in raids such as Hieronymus when going for top scores. However, she is still one of the best healers in the game for General Content, as her EX Skill can deal damage to enemies while healing the team. This starts to become important later on when you are no longer able to blitz through stages. Note that she has recently been made farmable via Tactical Assault Shop, making it difficult for us to recommend pulling for her.

Serina (Christmas)

RolePositionAttack TypeArmor Type UsecaseFarmable?
BufferStriker-MiddlePiercingSpecial RaidsNo

As a damage buffer that stacks Piercing Effectiveness overtime, this puts Serina (Christmas) in an odd spot since the current end-game is a DPS race, which does not give her enough time to get buff stacks. However, she can still find usage in longer fights that give her ample time to gain Holy Night's Blessing stacks. Note that Serina (Christmas) is a multi-DPS buffer, which has a different team composition to Hyper-Carry teams.

Noteable 2* and 1*

In Blue Archive the students BASE RARITY MEANS NOTHING when it comes to their usecase or how useful they are. Be sure to not neglect these students as they are ESSENTIAL in team building for both the early and endgame.

Note that we will only be covering tanks, healers, and buffers in this portion as raising a damage dealer mainly comes down to what armor type the stage currently has.

Tsubaki

RolePositionAttack TypeArmor Type UsecaseFarmable?
TankStriker-FrontPiercingSpecialRaids, General Content, PvPYes

If you're ever in need of a tank, Tsubaki should be the default tank you consider at any stage of the game. Not only does she have a skill set that makes her extremely tanky and self-sufficient, she also has a high Evasion stat and DEF stat, thanks to her T4 bag slot.

Note that the self-heal on the Basic Skill can be triggered once per battle, allowing her to proc its effects multiple times in a stage. If your Tsubaki is well-invested or your team deals enough damage to clear out mobs quickly, you can forgo running a healer in general.

Serina

RolePositionAttack TypeArmor Type UsecaseFarmable?
Healer, RepositionSpecialMysticLightRaids, General Content, PvPYes

If you are having difficulties keeping your team alive in stages and need a healer, Serina should be your default pick. Serina has everything a healer would want in their skill set, low cost healing on EX Skilll (2 Cost), frequent auto-healing with Basic Skill, and a reposition to move your tank away form your team if there are any AoE attacks.

Kotama

RolePositionAttack TypeArmor Type UsecaseFarmable?
BufferSpecialExplosiveLight PvPYes

If you are looking for a pure AoE damage buffer, then Kotama should be your go-to pick. Note that she can fall off quite hard if you are unable to apply her EX Skill on multiple students. if you have a well-invested Karin (UE50), Kotama is roughly equal to her when buffing 2 students.

Blue Archive is a game developed by Nexon Games that places you in the role of a teacher in the city of Kivotos. Your role is to guide the many, many students populating the city by assisting them in their daily lives or properly commanding them during battles they find themselves in.

As Blue Archive is a gacha game, you will have to roll for students that can be found in its gacha system in-game and it comes down to luck as to whether or not you get a student that you want. As such, we have a step-by-step guide prepared to assist would-be teachers in rolling for students, whether it’s one that can help them progress through the game, or simply one that they find appealing. Pictures will be included to assist in navigating through the menus as a new player would likely be unfamiliar with them.

If you are interested in chasing the meta for the game or simply finding out which students are good, feel free to peruse our Reroll Guide Tier List as well to give you a better idea of which students you might want to aim for.

How to Reroll in Blue Archive

Step 1: After downloading the game, you will be given the choice to choose a login method. You want to pick the ‘Play with Guest Account’ option.

Step 2: You will be given the option to enter your name as well as enter how it is pronounced by Arona in the game. No worries, you can type in whatever. You will be allowed to change both of them later on. When you have finished, tap the ‘Confirm’ button.

Step 3: The game will take you through a bunch of background shots before opening up with this dialogue bit from the prologue. You want to tap the ‘Menu’ button on the upper right, then click the fast-forward icon. This will allow you to skip the cutscene and drop you straight into the tutorial. If you wish to view the story again later, the game will give you an option to.

Step 4: Go through the tutorial. Unfortunately, the game does not allow you to skip it, so you’ll have to do it all the way to the end. Make sure you skip any cutscenes you encounter along the way. Each tutorial run here takes approximately 3-5 minutes to finish.

Step 5: Afterwards, the game will automatically give you a free 10-pull with a tutorial that forces you to roll. You are guaranteed at least one 3* in the pool with even more if you are lucky.

Step 6: Continue through the game’s tutorial. It takes around 4-6 minutes to finish this part of the tutorial.

Step 7: The game will urge you to read Yuuka’s Momotalk. However, you are actually already given free reign to navigate the menus. Tap the X button to close the window.

Step 8: Back at the main menu, tap the envelope icon and then claim all the gifts given to you. These gifts will be used to roll for more students in the gacha.

Step 9: When you finish claiming your gifts, a quick tutorial about account linking will pop up. You do not need to link your account yet, especially if you are not satisfied with your current student roster. Simply exit out of it and go back to the lobby.

Step 10: Go back to the ‘Recruit’ tab that you were made to go through earlier and tap it. From here, you will be given a wide array of character banners to choose from. Some of them may feature a student that has a higher drop rate for that specific student. The Regular Recruitment banner, however, has equal rates for all non-limited characters currently in the game.

Throw as many rolls as you want on the banner/s you are interested in until you run out. If you are satisfied with your account pulls and roster, skip to step 13. If you are unsatisfied, continue on to step 11.

Step 11: Unhappy with your rolls? Go back to the main menu and tap the icon on the upper right of the screen, then tap the ‘Account’ button that is boxed here.

Step 12: Click the `Continue` button that is on the right side of the `Reset Account` area. It is boxed blue for your convenience. Follow the instructions onscreen to delete your account.

From there, simply go back to step 1 and do it all over again. Once you’re satisfied with your students, feel free to proceed to step 13.

Step 13: Happy with your rolls? Go back to the main menu and tap the icon on the upper right of the screen, then tap the ‘Account’ button that is boxed here.

Step 14: Tap the `Continue Button` on the right side of the `Link Account` area. It is boxed red in the screenshot for your convenience. It will give you options to bind your account in different ways: Facebook, Google, Apple, or via Nexon ID. It is highly recommended that you bind your account here as soon possible to ensure that it remains safe and secure.

And with that, you’re done! You can now continue on in your adventures in the mystical city of Kivotos. Hopefully this reroll guide was helpful for any budding teachers hoping to get the students that they wanted!
