What are Heroic Missions?

Heroic missions are missions unlocked upon obtaining 50 sigils. They need to be cleared once per faction, so aim to get at least one leader per faction as you progress through the game. The heroic missions are more difficult than their non-heroic counterparts, often employing a gimmick on the map or featuring an initial push that you need to defend.

Why do Heroic Missions?

Clearing a heroic mission rewards you with 3 tomes of experience for your troops as well as a sigil upon completing it once. You need to clear them 4 more times, each with different leaders from the remaining factions. Upon clearing them, you receive 300 coins for your efforts. It is quite rewarding and will be your main source of income in the end game.

Enemy Minis

Murloc Tidehunters

Fast and cheap, great for supporting Tanks and taking Treasure Chests, but weak on their own.

Prowler

A Fast and ferocious Melee Tank. Sprints ahead to protect slower troops, or defend a far away fight.

Huntress

A Fast and lethal Ranged rider.
Her glaives slice through Squads, bouncing from foe to foe.

Stonehoof Tauren

An exceptionally beefy bruiser that will Charge into battle, and even Charge while she’s in battle!

Angry Chickens

Quilboar

Surprise your enemies with this Unbound Melee burrower! Slow to emerge but bristling for a fight.

Harpies

A trio of fragile Fliers, but if they can reach their target, they will shred it in seconds.

Chain Lightning

Swarmed by Squads of smaller foes? Send a surge of lightning sizzling through several enemies!

Recommended Minis

Pyromancer

Sometimes you need to light an enemy on fire. She prefers to light them all on fire.

Pyromancer is great for clearing those pesky Murloc Tidehunters . One shot can eliminate a whole bunch. Just make sure to protect her with a sturdy frontline unit.

Conflagrate BEST
Splash area is doubled.
Pyroblast
Deal triple damage on the first attack.
Blaze of Glory
Damage and Burn nearby enemies on death.

Huntress

A Fast and lethal Ranged rider.
Her glaives slice through Squads, bouncing from foe to foe.

The Huntress , much like the Pyromancer , can eliminate a bunch of Murloc Tidehunters . She might be expensive, but she holds significant value. Ensure you have Quilboar s ready to block the Prowler and Chickens from interfering with her.

Darnassian Steel
Glaive bounces an additional 3 times.
Elven Might BEST
Deal 50% additional damage to the initial target.
Shadowmeld
Gain Stealth and Ambush.

Dark Iron Miner

When there’s more Gold than your Kobold can mine, hire another to mine behind enemy lines!

There are three gold mines in this map, so the Dark Iron Miner is a great addition to your deck. You need to increase your resources if you want to keep up with the swarm of Murloc Tidehunters coming your way.

Dark Iron Armaments
After Mining, gain Armored.
Gold Mine BEST
After Mining, drop a proximity mine. Damages nearby enemies when touched.
Dwarven Ambition
Gain Fury.

Ghoul

A cheap but ravenous Tank, ready to feast on fallen enemies to replenish its Health.

A cost-effective undead tank for your non-tank leaders is the Ghoul . It can lure the minions to surround it, making it easier for the Pyromancer , S.A.F.E. Pilot , and Huntress to defeat them in a single blow.

Bone Shield BEST
Cannibalizing grants Armored for 10 seconds.
Ravenous
Cannibalizing grants Bloodlust for 10 seconds.
Taste for Blood
Deal 50% additional damage to enemies who are below 50% health.

S.A.F.E. Pilot

A flexible Ranged unit. Crash her into enemies or land her behind your Tanks for Area Damage support.

Landing S.A.F.E. Pilot on the fast-moving Murloc Tidehunters can be tricky, but if you can bait them into clumping up with a tank like the Ghoul , it will be much easier to drop the S.A.F.E. Pilot on them. It's also effective for getting the chest.

Gnomish Cloaking Device BEST
Deploy from the explosion with Stealth and Ambush.
Comin’ In Hot!
Deploy twice as fast and Burn nearby enemies.
Gnomish Muttonizer
Polymorph the first blaster target.

Defias Bandits

Stealthy and weak on their own, but will sneak up and Stun enemies while your damage dealers open fire!

The Defias Bandits are effective at defending the base from the Stonehoof Tauren and other single-target, high-value minions Old Murk-Eye throws at you.

Deadly Poison BEST
Gain Poison.
Pick Lock
Earn an extra +2 Gold when opening chests.
Last Resort
On death, Stun the target for 3 seconds.

How to Clear

Your main goal is to capture the enemy tower on the right to gain safe access to the gold mine and gold chest. Once captured, shift your focus to pushing on the left side to acquire more mines for extraction. Secure the meeting stone there to prevent the enemy from having a shorter route to your tower. Expect Murk to attempt swarming you with his minions, so ensure you have area-of-effect minions ready to counter. Pyromancer , Huntress , and S.A.F.E. Pilot are excellent choices to handle the swarm of Murlocs and Chickens. When you control the resources, you'll be better equipped to defeat Old Murk-Eye.
