  • Treasure Chests will now spawn 15 seconds after a match begins, rather than immediately, giving players some time to contest!
  • Resolved a rare situation where players would be silently matched with a "ghost" game and lose honor if they left the PvP queue before matching with another player.

We'll be discussing everything about the new patch, including the leader, PvP changes, and the exciting rewards for this season. It's shaping up to be a good one, so let's dive in!

NEW Leader: Emperor Thaurissan

Emperor Thaurissan is an intriguing leader, bringing unique abilities and talents to the battlefield. As a member of the Black Rock Fan family, he possesses Elemental and Bombard traits, making him a versatile force in both ranged and melee combat.

Abilities:

Fiery Weapon: Thaurissan's signature ability, Fiery Weapon, adds a strategic layer to gameplay. When a unit dealing physical damage hits the target, it applies a stack of burning. This introduces a dynamic element, especially considering the potential for double damage in melee range. Thaurissan's ranged and melee attacks make him adaptable in various situations.

Talents:

  1. Incinerate:
    • This talent caught my attention for its game-changing potential. It makes the burn from Lava Spike permanent, posing a significant threat to structures over time. Imagine the strategic possibilities, especially in prolonged engagements or against key defensive structures.
  2. Hubris:
    • Hubris introduces an interesting mechanic by granting a bonus to the next non-elemental mini deployed after playing Emperor Thaurissan. This creates exciting synergy with units like Gargoyles, potentially leading to powerful combinations on the battlefield.
  3. Moira's Wit:
    • Thaurissan's survivability gets a boost with Moira's Wit. Nearby burning enemies healing him adds a layer of sustainability, making him a formidable tank. The effectiveness of this talent will depend on the amount of healing provided, but it could significantly impact Thaurissan's longevity in battles.

Game Impact:

Emperor Thaurissan's dual nature, with both ranged and melee attacks, allows for flexible positioning on the battlefield. His burning effect from Fiery Weapon can disrupt enemy strategies, especially when combined with talents like Incinerate. Thaurissan has the potential to shape the flow of battles through sustained damage and strategic deployment of non-elemental minions.

Strategic Considerations:

  1. Incinerate Potential:
    • The permanent burn effect from Incinerate opens up strategic possibilities against enemy structures. Thaurissan could become a potent siege weapon, gradually wearing down the opponent's defenses.
  2. Hubris Synergy:
    • Combining Hubris with powerful non-elemental minions, like Gargoyles, can lead to explosive plays. Thaurissan players may find success in building a deck that maximizes the benefits of this talent.
  3. Survivability with Moira's Wit:
    • Moira's Wit adds a layer of survivability, especially in prolonged engagements. Understanding the healing dynamics and positioning Thaurissan strategically could make him a challenging leader to deal with.

Overall Assessment:

Emperor Thaurissan introduces exciting dynamics to the game with his burning mechanics, versatile attacks, and strategic talents. His potential to disrupt enemy structures, synergize with specific minions, and sustain himself in battles make him a leader worth exploring for players seeking a unique and strategic gameplay experience.

PVP Changes

Let's dive into the intricacies of the PvP map changes that have been introduced in the latest patch. The randomized maps bring a fresh and unpredictable element to the Warcraft World PvP experience, affecting the dynamics of battles and strategic decision-making.

Randomized Maps:

  1. Diversity of Terrain:
    • With maps being randomized, players now face a variety of terrains and layouts in each PvP match. This diversity challenges players to adapt their strategies to different environments, keeping the gameplay dynamic and engaging.
  2. Strategic Considerations:
    • The randomization of maps introduces a layer of uncertainty that adds strategic depth to the game. Players must adapt their unit compositions and tactics based on the specific features of each map, keeping them on their toes and encouraging diverse gameplay approaches.
  3. Impact on Unit Viability:
    • Certain units may shine on specific maps due to their abilities or characteristics. Conversely, units that were strong on one map may find themselves less effective on another. This variation can impact the viability of different units, encouraging players to explore a wide range of strategies.

Concerns and Considerations:

  1. Meta Influence:
    • There's a concern that the randomization of maps might inadvertently favor already strong units in the meta, limiting the variety of playable units. Players might be inclined to stick to tried-and-true compositions rather than experimenting with off-meta strategies.
  2. Unit-Specific Challenges:
    • Certain units that rely on specific map features or elements for their effectiveness may face challenges in a randomized map environment. This could lead to shifts in unit popularity and strategies as players adapt to the ever-changing battlefield.

Strategies for Success:

  1. Adaptability:
    • The key to success in this new PvP map system lies in adaptability. Players who can quickly assess the map and adjust their strategies accordingly will have a significant advantage. Being versatile in unit compositions and tactics becomes crucial.
  2. Map Awareness:
    • Developing a keen awareness of the map's features and potential advantages is essential. Understanding how the terrain can impact unit movement, positioning, and engagement dynamics allows players to make informed decisions during battles.
  3. Experimentation:
    • Embracing the unpredictability of the maps opens up opportunities for experimentation. Trying out different unit combinations and adapting strategies based on the unique challenges posed by each map can lead to discovering new, effective approaches to PvP.

Modifiers Overview:

Modifiers in Warcraft World are unique elements that alter the standard rules of gameplay, introducing additional challenges or advantages for players. These modifiers add a layer of complexity to matches, encouraging adaptive strategies and diverse unit compositions.

Existing Modifiers:

  1. Clean Fight:
    • This modifier is a familiar one, providing double passive gold generation for players. It incentivizes economic strategies and rewards those who prioritize resource management in the early game.
  2. Gold Rush:
    • Similar to Clean Fight, Gold Rush doubles passive gold generation. This modifier caters to players who focus on building a strong economy, allowing them to accumulate resources at an accelerated pace.

New Modifiers:

  1. Bounty Hunter:
    • The Bounty Hunter modifier introduces an interesting dynamic by rewarding players with bonus gold for every five minis they eliminate. This modifier encourages aggressive playstyles and incentivizes the removal of opponent units.
  2. First Strike:
    • First Strike grants troops the ability to deal double damage on their first attack. This modifier adds a strategic element, potentially favoring units with high initial burst damage. It encourages players to plan their deployments carefully to maximize the impact of the first attack.

Strategic Considerations:

  1. Economic Focus:
    • Modifiers like Clean Fight and Gold Rush emphasize the importance of economic strategies. Players may opt for builds that prioritize gold generation, allowing them to deploy more powerful units or upgrade existing ones.
  2. Aggressive Tactics with Bounty Hunter:
    • The Bounty Hunter modifier rewards players who adopt aggressive tactics and actively engage in combat. It introduces a risk-reward dynamic, as players need to balance unit investments with the potential gold gains from eliminating opponent minis.
  3. First Strike Synergy:
    • First Strike can significantly impact unit effectiveness, especially those with high burst damage or critical strike abilities. Players may choose units that capitalize on the first attack bonus, creating opportunities for swift eliminations and advantageous trades.

Rewards

PvP Emote (16k Rating):

  1. Exclusive Emote:
    • The PvP emote serves as a prestigious reward for players who achieve a rating of 16,000 or higher. This exclusive emote not only adds a touch of flair to your in-game communication but also serves as a symbol of accomplishment within the Warcraft World community.
  2. Seasonal Challenge:
    • Attaining a 16k rating is no small feat, and the emote becomes a marker of a player's dedication, skill, and success in the competitive PvP environment. It often becomes a seasonal challenge for players to strive for, fostering a sense of competition and achievement.

Guild Chest Rewards (20k Rating):

  1. Tower Skins:
    • The Guild chest rewards for achieving a 20,000 rating bring a visual upgrade to your in-game towers. The skins include variations for Arrow Towers, Rocket Towers, and Dragon Towers, each with its unique design. These skins not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of your towers but also serve as a status symbol of your accomplishments.
  2. Visual Differentiation:
    • The tower skins provide a way for players to visually differentiate themselves from others in the game. They showcase a player's commitment to PvP and success in reaching a high rating, making them stand out on the battlefield.

Strategic Implications:

  1. Guild Recognition:
    • The Guild chest rewards emphasize the importance of collective effort within guilds. Achieving a 20k rating requires collaboration and coordination among guild members. The tower skins, therefore, become a shared accomplishment, enhancing the sense of camaraderie and recognition within the guild.
  2. Motivation for PvP Participation:
    • The allure of exclusive rewards serves as a powerful motivator for players to actively participate in PvP. Whether it's the emote at 16k or the tower skins at 20k, these rewards create goals for players, driving them to improve their skills, climb the rankings, and contribute to the competitive PvP scene.

Summary

In summary, the latest update in Warcraft World introduces exciting changes that breathe new life into the PvP experience. Emperor Thaurissan takes center stage as a dynamic leader with burning mechanics and versatile talents, promising diverse and strategic gameplay. The introduction of randomized maps adds an element of unpredictability, challenging players to adapt their strategies to different terrains. Modifiers like Bounty Hunter and First Strike inject fresh dynamics into battles, encouraging varied approaches and unit compositions. Finally, the exclusive PvP emote and stylish tower skins at 16k and 20k ratings respectively serve as prestigious rewards, symbolizing players' dedication and success in the competitive realm. As the community navigates these updates, the evolving meta promises engaging and strategic gameplay for Warcraft Rumble enthusiasts.

Warcraft Rumble: Season 3 Overview

Gather around fellow Rumblers; the new year starts with loads of exciting news for Warcraft Rumble. A new season, new Leader, shiny new Cosmetics, and PvP Enchantments are coming soon, so pump up your troops and prepare for the matches ahead.

New Leader

Straight from the searing heat of Blackrock Depths comes the new playable Leader, Emperor Thaurissan, during Season 3 of Warcraft Rumble beginning January 21 from the Guild Warchest and through PvP as a reward.

Emperor Thaurissan won't be available in the G.R.I.D until Season 4, but don't worry; you can add him to your collection of Minis through the Guild Warchest, PvP, or three Store offers—one at season start, one mid-season, and another at the end of the season.

  • Name: Emperor Thaurissan
  • Family: Blackrock
  • Cost: 4 Gold
  • Traits: AOE, Ranged, Elemental, Fiery Weapon
Leader Abilities:
  • Lava Spike: A ranged elemental attack with an additional melee physical damage component.
    • Thaurissan targets the farthest enemy within range, and slams the ground, summoning a magma pillar below the enemy.
    • The magma pillar deals damage to the target and nearby enemies within a small area, and applies Burn.
    • The ground slam also causes a small earth spike directly in front of Thaurissan, applying physical damage to all enemies in melee range.
    • Thaurissan will target enemies within melee range if no ranged targets are available, summoning the magma pillar, and the earth spikes directly in front of him.

  • Fiery Weapon: Allies apply Burn when dealing Physical damage.
Talents:
Moira's Wit
...

Nearby Burning enemies heal Thaurissan.

Hubris
...

After playing Thaurissan, your next non-Elemental Mini deploys with +2 levels.

Incinerate
...

Lava Spike's Burn is permanent.

New Cosmetics

Brave the battlefield with panache with the new Judgment Tower Skin, available in Guild Warchests on January 21.

Unlock the exclusive Gnomelia Plane Burning Emote, which is earnable through PvP and obtaining a 16,000 rating.

PvP Enchantments and Map Rotations

Introducing Enchants

Turn the tables and leverage unique anomalies in PvP with Enchants, a new exciting game mechanic coming January 23 to Warcraft Rumble.

  • Collateral Damage – Towers deal 20% damage to their owner's Barracks when destroyed.
  • Hero's Resolve – Leaders level up each time they are played.
  • Stonebind - Towers convert to Meeting Stones when destroyed.
  • Ward - A good old fashioned brawl!
  • Adrenaline Rush - Your income increases as your Base health decreases.
Map Rotation Changes

Starting in Season 3, PvP maps will now be randomized instead of one map per season and Enchants will replace the "Map" tile you see before starting a PvP match.

Get ready to find new comps and synergies between your Minis and embrace the action-packed fun of Warcraft Rumble, before Season 3 makes like a Defias Bandit and sneaks up on you. Arclight Surge Infinite Gold Exploit Update https://dotgg.gg/warcraft-rumble/arclight-surge-infinite-gold-exploit-update/ Thu, 21 Dec 2023 08:14:25 +0000 https://dotgg.gg/warcraft-rumble/?p=2630 Information about the major Arclight Surge exploit.

The post Arclight Surge Infinite Gold Exploit Update appeared first on Warcraft Rumble.

]]>
Ever since the version 3.0.0 patch went live, players were able to repeat the Arclight Surge indefinitely to earn as much Coins as they desired - the most valuable currency in Warcraft Rumble! Obviously, this is not intentional and over 24 hours since it happened, players were not sure what was happening or what to do. Here's everything we know so far.

Final Verdict

Following up on the bug exploit with our most recent patch:

  • We will be removing all illegitimately earned coins over the next few days. As a result, some players' coin balance may go negative.
  • We are closely monitoring the more extreme cases of abusing this exploit and are considering further action for those accounts.

In acknowledging the inconvenience that this patch may have caused, we will be compensating all players with 500 coins over the next few days. We deeply appreciate all of our players sticking through this with us, and hope that you all have a wonderful holiday. We're looking forward to an exciting 2024 and can't wait to share what we've been working on.

Razh

Official Announcements

Abusing the bug could be a risk to get your account banned or rolled back, yet if you did not participate you would lose out on your regular source of Gold without any sort of compensation.

We're aware of an exploit for Arclight Surge, we are fixing the bug presently and will be looking into any exploitative actions taken by players. I will follow up with more details soon.

Aezztra

In the meantime, to fix the big, the servers were taken down:

Servers are back online and a fix has been implemented for a bug surrounding the changes to Arclight Surges. We are currently evaluating the results of an exploit related to this bug and will take action soon.

Aezztra

Statement from Blizzard Developer

Landy is the Lead Server Engineer at Warcraft Rumble:

I'm the lead engineer for the server team, we're responsible for everything from the ground up on the server side of things, anything from the infrastructure like where we run in the cloud, what technologies we rely on for networking them all together, how we can scale out to support a growing player base, to a platform like how do our services scale, how do we handle storing data for each individual player, to features, like all the different features like quests, surge, dungeons, etc.

Landy

Providing further discussion with the community:

I'm not the community manager, so I can't say for certain what I'm allowed to say. We are pulling data for all the extra gold earned during this window. We are discussing what actions we will be taking for each player. There are many options of what we can do, I'm not going to comment on each individual option, but everything is on the table from simple currency revokes all the way through to banning of accounts.

Landy

Rollback is not an option:

Rolling back an entire game is a no go. That's a destructive behavior for any game or any company with live data.

Landy

With potential to reward players who did not participate:

It's something I am pitching.

Landy

Checking Your Gold History

Players can view how much gold they earned during this time on the Battle.net account page here.

  • Old rewards should no longer fail to claim when players use multiple devices.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented some Sigil rewards on the Path of Onyxia from being claimed.
  • Chain Lightning should no longer bounce to Sylvanas' Banshee multiple times when used to kill Sylvanas.
  • Rend Blackhand and Gyth's Range stat are now properly grouped with their other respective stats.
  • Chimaera's stat page should now show the correct damage for each individual head.
  • Frostwolf Shaman's healing should now match what is shown on the stat page.
  • Abomination should no longer be able to hook Minis on a bridge above him.
  • Core Hounds can now resurrect their buddies if they get Stealthed.
  • Fixed a couple enemy Armies that had multiple copies of Harpies in their deck, causing them to be able to play Harpies back to back.

This is our complete guide to the event including an example deck you can try.

Gnomeregan

Welcome to the Warcraft Rumble Dungeon guide of the week, this time focused on the Undead faction and the Gnomeregan dungeon. In this guide, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know about the dungeon, and how to complete it with the Undead faction. It’s important to note that while an Undead leader is required to enter the dungeon this week, your leader’s army (deck) can be composed of minis and spells from any faction.

Why Complete Dungeons in Warcraft Rumble?

Dungeons (in addition to Arclight Surges) are a great source of Arclight Energy, which is required to upgrade the rarity and subsequently unlock new talents for your minis. In the earlier stages of the game, it is an easy currency to grind, since units only require three stars and 500 Arclight Energy for an upgrade.

Learn more about Dungeons in our guide!

Completion of dungeons also allows you to upgrade your leader’s army board, allowing you to strategically position your units in your deck to gain bonus levels!

What Leaders and Decks Should I Use for Gnomeregan in Warcraft Rumble?

Blackrock Week

There are currently two Blackrock leaders in the game: Rend Blackhand and General Drakkisath . We recommend clearing the dungeon with each leader until you can no longer clear it due to difficulty. We'll provide some sample decks that can handle each dungeon. Using Blackrock minions is also recommended since most bonus Relics are targeted at them.

Undead Week

Sylvanas Windrunner,Baron Rivendare,Bloodmage Thalnos

There are currently three Undead leaders in the game: Sylvanas Windrunner and Baron Rivendare and Bloodmage Thalnos . We recommend clearing the dungeon with each leader until you can no longer clear it due to difficulty. We'll provide some sample decks that can handle each dungeon. Using Undead minions is also recommended since most bonus Relics are targeted at them.

Angry Chickens

Harvest Golem

A hearty Melee automaton with a trick up its sleeve – After its first death it will shock itself back to life!

S.A.F.E. Pilot

A flexible Ranged unit. Crash her into enemies or land her behind your Tanks for Area Damage support.

Gryphon Rider

A sky-riding Flier that throws mighty dwarven hammers at aerial and ground troops alike.

Best Way to Clear

Your main goal here is to secure the Meeting Stone in the middle of the map to gain easier access to the Gold Mines. Your sub-objective is to acquire the Gnomish Hard Prevention Belts before the enemy does. Unbound minis are exceptionally useful in this map and others as well. I'll recommend some minis to equip in the recommended minis section.

Gryphon Rider

Harvest Golem

A hearty Melee automaton with a trick up its sleeve – After its first death it will shock itself back to life!

Spiderlings

A Squad of Poisonous predators. Their venom will pierce Armor and down even the mightiest of Tanks.

Mountaineer

This inseparable Tank and Ranged pair cover each other for an instantly effective offensive!

Best Way to Clear

Your main goal is to capture one of the towers so you'll have access to a Gold Mine. I recommend targeting the left tower first so you can also secure the Gold Chest when it spawns. Sometimes, you can execute an 'all-in' push from the left tower towards the boss. Make sure to distract him by deploying an Unbound mini, such as the Quilboar , on the opposite side. This action will prevent him from lasering your entire army while they're closing the gap.

Mekgineer Thermaplugg

Directly attacking him with minis is futile, kill him with his on walking bombs instead.

Enemy Minis

Molten Giant

A wall of Armored obsidian. Slow and lumbering but devastating to Towers. The ultimate Melee Tank.
Blood Of The Mountain
On death, explode, Damaging nearby enemies.

S.A.F.E. Pilot

A flexible Ranged unit. Crash her into enemies or land her behind your Tanks for Area Damage support.

Defias Bandits

Stealthy and weak on their own, but will sneak up and Stun enemies while your damage dealers open fire!

Gnoll Brute

A tough Tank with a menacing mace. Cleaves through Squads of enemies, or clobbers with collateral damage.

Ogre Mage

Hurling fireballs is always brutal, but this Magi also buffs nearby allies with Bloodlust. More bang for your buck!

Prowler

A Fast and ferocious Melee Tank. Sprints ahead to protect slower troops, or defend a far away fight.

Best Way to Clear

This stage is a bit easier than the last two. All you need to do is destroy the amp switches before the enemy does. Unbound minis are really useful here, such as the S.A.F.E. Pilot, Quilboar, and Skeletons. The Stonehoof Tauren is also useful since it can close the gap pretty quickly. Make sure to cycle through your units to get the Kobold Miner mining the Gold Mines. You can also equip the Dark Iron Miner if you have space in your deck. This way, you can mine the mines at the same time without cycling too much.

Blackrock Week Recommended Minis

Whelp Eggs

Drop these eggs anywhere on the battlefield to surprise Melee enemies with many fiery Flying whelps!

Whelp's Eggs are top-tier defensive minis that compel enemies to reconsider breaking them. Countering them demands a few steps. You could use a Blizzard spell or a combination of melee and anti-air units. Placing them near gold mines protects your Kobolds or deters enemy Kobolds. Acquiring the 'Flame Burst' talent further enhances their value as they inflict damage upon hatching. They are highly recommended in any deck and particularly effective in a Rend deck due to the cost reduction.

Rookery
When one egg hatches, the others hatch immediately.
Flame Burst BEST
Damage nearby enemies when hatching.
Chromatic Plating
Eggs gain Taunt.

Pyromancer

Sometimes you need to light an enemy on fire. She prefers to light them all on fire.

The Pyromancer is a top-tier ranged elemental damage dealer. Acquire the 'splash area increase' talent to decimate armies with her flames. Pair her with a capable tank to ensure her survival, such as Rend Blackhand or Drakkisath. Additionally, consider utilizing the Flame Elemental. While it excels in Drakkisath decks, it can be incorporated into any deck requiring elemental damage.

Conflagrate BEST
Splash area is doubled.
Pyroblast
Deal triple damage on the first attack.
Blaze of Glory
Damage and Burn nearby enemies on death.

Gargoyle

A Flying fortress of Armor. This single-minded Tank attacks buildings and bosses, ignoring all other distractions.

Gargoyle works best in rend decks where it can benefit from the cost reduction. It's a good mini for split pushing, as it won't easily succumb to tower damage. If left unchecked, it can take down a tower on its own. However, it's easily countered by Darkspear Troll, which costs 2 less than it. Additionally, it flies very slowly, allowing the enemy to prepare for it. Unlocking the move speed talent can remedy that.

Wing Buffet BEST
Increases move speed by 33%.
Obsidian Statue
On death, summon a statue with Taunt. Lasts until destroyed.
Aerial Superiority
Incoming damage from Flying minis is reduced by 50%.

Undead Week Recommended Minis

S.A.F.E. Pilot

A flexible Ranged unit. Crash her into enemies or land her behind your Tanks for Area Damage support.

It's quite useful in all the stages, especially in the last one to acquire the amp switches. It can be used to distract the second boss away from your army and easily secure the chest in the first stage. Overall, it's a flexible mini to bring into the dungeon.

Gnomish Cloaking Device BEST
Deploy from the explosion with Stealth and Ambush.
Comin’ In Hot!
Deploy twice as fast and Burn nearby enemies.
Gnomish Muttonizer
Polymorph the first blaster target.

Quilboar

Surprise your enemies with this Unbound Melee burrower! Slow to emerge but bristling for a fight.

Another unbound mini that can perform similar tasks to the S.A.F.E. Pilot, this one is much cheaper to deploy. It can be used to target elemental damage ranged minis in the backline, preventing them from hitting the main army.

Bristleback
Deal a small amount of damage to Melee attackers.
Tunnel Vision BEST
Deploy much more quickly.
Bramble Burst
Inflict Poison on nearby enemies when emerging.

Stonehoof Tauren

An exceptionally beefy bruiser that will Charge into battle, and even Charge while she’s in battle!

If you are using Sylvanas or Thalnos, this is a good tank for the deck, especially useful in the last stage where it can charge at the amp switches to destroy them quickly.

Pummel
After connecting a charge, Stun the target for 3 seconds.
Momentum BEST
After connecting a charge, immediately charge a second time if possible.
Provoke
After connecting a charge, Taunt nearby enemies.

Darkspear Troll

This headhunter deals massive damage with savage spear throws. Enemies in the air beware!

The Darkspear Troll is a great ranged damage dealer mini that can perform well with all three undead leaders. Some of the leaders have Horde army slots where the troll can be equipped.

Big Bad Voodoo BEST
Regenerate 10% health every second.
Headhunting
On kill, increase Attack and Movement speed by 10%. Stacks to 50%.
Serpent Sting
Gain Poison.

Ghoul

A cheap but ravenous Tank, ready to feast on fallen enemies to replenish its Health.

Ghoul is a nice, cheap undead tank that slots in well in undead decks. It is particularly useful for leaders who don't have a tank army slot but have an undead slot, like Baron Rivendare. It can benefit from the Relics catered to undead minis.

Bone Shield BEST
Cannibalizing grants Armored for 10 seconds.
Ravenous
Cannibalizing grants Bloodlust for 10 seconds.
Taste for Blood
Deal 50% additional damage to enemies who are below 50% health.

Dark Iron Miner

When there’s more Gold than your Kobold can mine, hire another to mine behind enemy lines!

It's useful in the first and third stages but not as much in the second because you have to destroy the towers first.

Dark Iron Armaments
After Mining, gain Armored.
Gold Mine BEST
After Mining, drop a proximity mine. Damages nearby enemies when touched.
Dwarven Ambition
Gain Fury.

Meat Wagon

Sieges enemies with slabs of meat. Bombards from so far away that it outranges Towers!

Useful in the second stage where you have to destroy the towers. This makes it easier to do since you want to be out of the rocket range. Plus, it's another undead mini.

Meat And Bones
Every other attack summons a Skeleton instead of dealing damage.
Filet Trebuchet BEST
Increase Bombard Range by +2.
Greased Gears
Gain Fury.

Skeletons

These Skeletons can arise anywhere on the map to distract enemies or claim a remote resource.

Undead can benefit from undead-specific relics and unbound units, which are useful in all the stages, especially in the third one.

Questing Buddies
One Skeleton gains Armor, one gains Resist, and one gains Stealth.
Cackle
Gain Taunt.
Exhume BEST
If deployed near a Tower or Meeting Stone, deploy +2 additional Skeletons.

Recommended Relics

  • Stratholme Commendation: Deploying an Undead Mini also summons 2 Skeleton Mages at your Base.
  • Flash Bang: Deploying an Unbound Mini Stuns nearby enemies for 1 second.
  • Black Whelp Tunic: Your Towers, Barracks, and Meeting Stones spawn a Whelp Egg every 8 seconds.
  • Band of the Protector: Tank Minis cost 1 less (but no less than 1) Gold.

What are Heroic Missions?

Heroic missions are missions unlocked upon obtaining 50 sigils. They need to be cleared once per faction, so aim to get at least one leader per faction as you progress through the game. The heroic missions are more difficult than their non-heroic counterparts, often employing a gimmick on the map or featuring an initial push that you need to defend.

Why do Heroic Missions?

Clearing a heroic mission rewards you with 3 tomes of experience for your troops as well as a sigil upon completing it once. You need to clear them 4 more times, each with different leaders from the remaining factions. Upon clearing them, you receive 300 coins for your efforts. It is quite rewarding and will be your main source of income in the end game.

Map Elements

  • Meeting Stones: 0
  • Treasure Chests: 2
  • Lanes: 2
  • Enemy Towers: 3
  • Ally Towers: 1

Enemy Minis

Ogre Mage

Hurling fireballs is always brutal, but this Magi also buffs nearby allies with Bloodlust. More bang for your buck!

Warsong Raider

This Fast rider smashes Towerswith savage sustained Siege damage. Clear a path and she'll clear the rest.

Murloc Tidehunters

Fast and cheap, great for supporting Tanks and taking Treasure Chests, but weak on their own.

Raptors

Fast savage slashers! Each extra tap increases Gold cost by 1 and deploys an additional Raptor.

Bat Rider

A cheap aerial unit that specializes in bathing the ground in flame while Flying above Melee enemies.

Darkspear Troll

This headhunter deals massive damage with savage spear throws. Enemies in the air beware!

Recommended Minis

Earth Elemental

A flock of feathered fowl that can overwhelm even the heartiest of Tanks and Towers.

Earth Elemental is one of the best 3-cost minis in the game. Though it only attacks towers and bosses, it excels at what it does. It can also redirect the opposing player's army by dropping it right behind them. It will walk towards the nearest enemy structure, allowing you to hit the enemy army from behind, essentially dealing free damage. It is an unbound unit, meaning you can backdoor towers, structures, or bosses. They are fairly hard to kill, requiring elemental damage to inflict significant harm to them.

Ready to Rumble
Taunt on deploy.
Shrapnel Blast
Destroying a tower deals damage to nearby enemies.
Obsidian Shard BEST
On death, split into two smaller Earth Elementals.

Quilboar

Surprise your enemies with this Unbound Melee burrower! Slow to emerge but bristling for a fight.

The Quilboar is a top-tier unbound mini with numerous uses. It can collect faraway chests, distract bosses from your advancing army, deny gold from enemy Kobolds, and tank towers. Unlocking its 'Tunnel Vision' talent enables faster deployment, providing a significant advantage. Its versatility allows it to excel in any deck, contributing to its high-tier ranking.

Bristleback
Deal a small amount of damage to Melee attackers.
Tunnel Vision BEST
Deploy much more quickly.
Bramble Burst
Inflict Poison on nearby enemies when emerging.

S.A.F.E. Pilot

A flexible Ranged unit. Crash her into enemies or land her behind your Tanks for Area Damage support.

"The S.A.F.E. Pilot serves as one of your starter minions, making it easier to upgrade to uncommon—requiring one less duplicate to purchase from the G.R.I.D. It stands as a top-tier unbound unit capable of easily decimating enemy backlines. Unlock its 'Stealth and Ambush' talent to amplify its damage output. This versatile unit can be used to one-shot gold chests, backdoor towers alongside the Quilboar, or deny enemy Kobolds from acquiring gold. It performs exceptionally well and can be effectively deployed in any deck.

Gnomish Cloaking Device BEST
Deploy from the explosion with Stealth and Ambush.
Comin’ In Hot!
Deploy twice as fast and Burn nearby enemies.
Gnomish Muttonizer
Polymorph the first blaster target.

Defias Bandits

Stealthy and weak on their own, but will sneak up and Stun enemies while your damage dealers open fire!

Defias bandits are amazing minis capable of generating value depending on the mini they're up against. They deploy stealthed, so the enemy doesn't even know they are coming. They stun upon hitting, and they are especially effective when used near a tower, allowing the tower to land hits while the enemy is stunned. They can also stun bosses, making them quite useful, especially if the boss has a lot of range.

Unlocking their poison talent increases their damage, further demoralizing enemy players who see their high-cost mini go down to a 1-cost mini. Additionally, they can be used to pick up chests and for cycling minis at a very low cost.

Deadly Poison BEST
Gain Poison.
Pick Lock
Earn an extra +2 Gold when opening chests.
Last Resort
On death, Stun the target for 3 seconds.

Prowler

A Fast and ferocious Melee Tank. Sprints ahead to protect slower troops, or defend a far away fight.

The Prowler is an excellent tank, especially in Beast decks. It synergizes well with other Beast minis like Harpies and Quilboar, particularly when you unlock its aura talent that increases nearby Beast damage. It's also suitable for rush decks due to its 'fast' trait.

On The Prowl BEST
Gain Stealth, and stun the target when attacking from Stealth.
Pack Leader
Grants nearby Beast allies 30% additional Damage.
Predatory Instincts
Deal double damage to enemies who are at more than 75% health.

Harpies

A trio of fragile Fliers, but if they can reach their target, they will shred it in seconds.

Harpies are a 3-in-1 mini. They can be split up into two lanes for flexibility. They absolutely tear up their targets if they manage to reach them. If you see your opponent deploying their anti-air minis, it's time to deploy these ladies in another lane. They deal even more damage when you unlock their poison talent. They are a mainstay in all my decks and are especially great in Rend decks.

Infectious Swipes BEST
Gain Poison.
Trinket Collectors
Gain the Miner trait. Cost increased by 1.
Talon Dive
Deal double damage on 1st attack.

Deck Build

baron-rivendare-deck-0xi1x

How to Clear

The map features three enemy towers, so it makes sense to include Earth Elementals in the deck. Additionally, with two chests present, unbound units like Pilots and Quilboars prove to be quite useful.

However, this boss fight is tricky since it intermittently transforms units into angry chickens. Fortunately, it has a cooldown, providing a window to attack. I've found Defias Bandits and Prowlers to be useful due to their stun and stealth abilities. Simply send them ahead to stun the boss, then deploy the rest of your army. Fast and unbound units work well, and poisoning is effective too.

Your main objectives involve taking down the central and east towers to secure the gold mine there. Afterward, focus on defending them while also targeting the east tower to safely access the chest. From there, you can plan your assault. Just ensure to stun the boss or bait the transformation spell using a miner or another low-cost unit.

How to Clear

This stage is surprisingly easy to clear, even though it's a hard stage. Simply manage the Giant Abomination on the left lane, and you should easily clear it. Units like Harpies, Whelps, and Defias Bandits make light work of the Abomination. Don't let it reach the meeting stone! Then, focus on taking the tower on the right and advancing your army towards the boss. Distract the boss with Quilboar when they are in range, and it should go down quickly.

Stonehoof Tauren

An exceptionally beefy bruiser that will Charge into battle, and even Charge while she’s in battle!

"The Stonehoof Tauren is a premium mid-cost tank that charges at other minis to swiftly close the gap. It particularly excels in Horde decks where it can be equipped in Horde bonus slots. Acquire the 'Momentum' talent to enable her to charge a second time if the initial charge connects.

Pummel
After connecting a charge, Stun the target for 3 seconds.
Momentum BEST
After connecting a charge, immediately charge a second time if possible.
Provoke
After connecting a charge, Taunt nearby enemies.

On The Prowl
Gain Stealth, and stun the target when attacking from Stealth.
Pack Leader
Grants nearby Beast allies 30% additional Damage.
Predatory Instincts BEST
Deal double damage to enemies who are at more than 75% health.

Darkspear Troll

This headhunter deals massive damage with savage spear throws. Enemies in the air beware!

The Darkspear Troll is one of the best anti-air units in the game. It boasts excellent range and damage, often one-shotting flying units. Additionally, it is surprisingly bulky, thanks to its regeneration talent.

Big Bad Voodoo BEST
Regenerate 10% health every second.
Headhunting
On kill, increase Attack and Movement speed by 10%. Stacks to 50%.
Serpent Sting
Gain Poison.

Dark Iron Miner

When there’s more Gold than your Kobold can mine, hire another to mine behind enemy lines!

The Dark Iron Miner is somewhat redundant with the Kobold Miner. While it does shine in some PvE content, it doesn't justify a slot in PvP. If you can make space for it in your deck, it provides excellent map control, especially when the proximity mine talent is unlocked.

Dark Iron Armaments
After Mining, gain Armored.
Gold Mine BEST
After Mining, drop a proximity mine. Damages nearby enemies when touched.
Dwarven Ambition
Gain Fury.

Deck Build

tirion-fordring-deck-r26an

The Dark Iron Miner is really useful here since there are a lot of gold mines to extract resources from. It can also absorb the possession, so your high-cost units don't have to.

How to Clear

The first objective is to capture the meeting stone, but it can be quite tricky since Blind Mary can possess the first unit you send. I usually send the bandits or a miner there first, so she can possess one of them, but not result in too high of a value swing. Proceed to gather gold so you can mount an attack before she can cast possess again. Stealthy and fast units are especially effective in this map, allowing you to safely close the gap on her. Just make sure to bait her skill with low-cost units first, then deploy everything you've got.
